Is this her comfort pose? Perhaps her version of that thing you do with your dress! :P

You know, I'd almost be tempted to put a mild ripple effect on this picture, if I was you. Of course it could spoil the whole thing, but... you know. Fish eyes. Underwater. That kind of thing. Could be interesting.
I always love messing up pictures in more ways than just the colouring though.

Love the shot. The angle- she looks like a giant. (no offence.) The grass, in the way. I like that. Things like that look good, I always think. Adds a certain something to the picture, rather than leaving it "bland". (relatively speaking, of course.)

I think the one thing that lets this picture down, and I don't think anybody else has pointed it out yet, is in the lower section of the picture- The sky becomes more defined down there, and the blue seems to be a warmer shade. If there's anything you can do to make it mesh better with the sky at the top of the picture, it would be, as the French say, excellente. (At least I like to pretend they say that.)

Actually, maybe that little piece of shrub at the top right hand corner should be given a similar treatment. I think what I really like about the picture, something particularly well executed, is the way you lovely sister is in focus, but the grass, and the clouds are blurred, and out of focus. I think it creates a nice effect. Very focused.

As an aside note, she really is very pretty. I wish I had a model like her. I also wish I had a model with dresses like that. They're so... interesting? Exciting? Vivacious, anyway! (I love that word.)

Hmm. I started writing, only intending to leave you a short comment. I guess this is shorter than some of my usual ones. I actually don't have much else to say on the picture. I love the shot.

My only concern about your photography is that eventually I'll just decide that I can never match your level of skill, and just give up. Which is the kind of thing you should feel flattered about- albeit guilty. :P

haha im thinking it probably is her comfort pose as well! she mostly does them for muck up shots though, and not so much serious ones. but i realised she always does it so i told her that we'll make it an actual artwork for once, not a behind the sense shot!

and by the shrub in the top right hand corner, i actually didn't notice that haha! i just realised it was the tree that was behind her, i didn't think to edit it out or anything.

to tell you the truth, im not actually too fond of this picture, and im suprised other people like it so much. personally, i think i could have done much better, taking into consideration of everything. i should have taken more of the same shots with different exposures to fix those overexposed parts of the sky and to lighten up my sister a little more (i did it digitally and i only had a jpg picture, not a raw, so i ruined a lot of the information and made it more grainy) and i should have taken into account everything in the frame.

um, well yeah. i dunno, i just felt like submitting it, cos i quite enjoyed that shoot (there's a lot more pictures that i didn't get around to putting on my deviantart account that i might do).

anyway! i don't know what im talking about anymore, so i guess that shows i should stop typing here. and sorry if it doesn't make complete sense! i just woke up :P

You're probably right. It sounds like fate conspired against you when it came to this picture. I have to agree that it doesn't live up to your usual standard, but it's not like it's a bad picture, as such. Besides, everyone should be allowed upload something that they just think is a fun picture, every once in a while. Just as long as it doesn't become habit. :P

You'd be surprised how much of your comment I understood. The entire thing, in fact. You should write long comments more often. :D

thank you =] its actually a lot paler than the original red was (and just in case, i should mention, she is wearing tights, its not her actual legs that are red.)

You are over doing with color saturat or whatever it is that makes color fringing. The photo would be better with warmer colors. The only thing that I don't like is that you can barely see the model's face. But I guess you can't control the wind.

oh i actually like it better with the colder colours, in my opinion. i have a version with warmer colours but i just thought this one worked better. and also those overexposed bits at the top are really annoying me, but i didn't shoot in raw so i can't really fix it : (

Actually I was talking of the lower part of the photo. See all of those color fringes. Yeah I am no Photoshop guru, so I can't help you there. That's cool mate, I was just thinking of golden summer theme. But that's just me of course.
