One of the 260 pictographs that can be found on the rockface at Mazinaw lake. These pictographs were designated as a National historic site of Canada in 1982. They were drawn on with red ochre about 500-600 years ago. This is the largest visible collection of pictograhs across Canada.
I believe this specific pictograph represents a pathway.

~lyrahallia and I sought these out by canoe when we were camping at Bon Echo park. We plan on visiting again next year. They were absolutely gorgeous to see! We only saw about 15 of the 260 that were along the rock cliffs.

This one is one of my favorite images of the pictographs and it intrigued me greatly since it resembled some strange light source that had appeared in a photograph the night before at our campsite. I took a few more photographs to see if it would appear again but it never did. I should mention that the light was high up in the trees. It was pretty neat. Just for fun here's a link of the image on my flickr account. [link]
