Morgaine of the Fairies by Valesco Morgaine of the Fairies by Valesco
Morgaine out of "The Mists of Avalon" by Zimmer-Bradley, as I used to imagine her whilst reading.
I got the idea for this picuture when I browsed through deviantart seeing an image of Gwenhwyfar
As she is her rival in loving Lancelot and she tries not to hate her I wanted to do something on all the doubts that nearly tear this character apart.
So here you can see her hatred of Gwenhwyfar in her eyes, but at the same time she raises her hand hesitantly in prayer, which symbolizes her faithfulness to the great goddess, which she sometimes wants to abandon. Also the hand raised in prayer indeed is a denial of her love to Lancelot, which is nearly impossible to maintain for a high priestess.
If i got something wrong there in the story, please correct me, it has already a bit of time passed since I last read the novel.

Sorry for the bad quality, I had a) to scan it in two steps and then merge together b) used cheap paper and pencils.

I know there are still a few mistakes in the perspective, anatomy, so I'd kindly ask you about a bit of critique, so that I can improve.

Enjoy!
