Agony is my name by Valesco Agony is my name by Valesco
i'm quite satisfied with the texture of the blood, you may not look too closely!
i was thinking about adding a background in some way, but then i thought the white colour would generate some sterility which is fitting in quite well...i'd be really glad to get some advices about what to do better etc etc.!

i used :iconblood--stock: 's stock as a refernce, since i did not know at all how to start drawing blood^^
thanks for that!

This one immediately caught my eye ^_^ Reminds me of a sketch I was doing some days ago but never finished ^^ I really like the way you did her hair, and the blood is very realistic. I also love the choice of the colors, I always thought that red and black go so well together! Great job :D

I love the blood red contrast against the white, 'tis very beautiful and elegant somehow at the same time. :aww:

If you would like to try a background, that would be nice. :) But I quite am loving the red on white theme here, it's somewhat like purity (white) being slowly tainted with agony (the blood red). :D

I really wish it had more of a background and a light source, but the draping on the skirt came out nice

It depends on the mood you want to set and the situation going on the the pic. Here it's just a figure, without much to embellish it so it's a bit hard to say...
If you want to keep the white/sterilization thing, you could draw in a hospitable operating room- or maybe go another way with it and throw in a grave sight, or some sort of sacrificial backdrop. Or prehapse an elaborate window of some sort. ^^; Make up a little back-story for yourself and see what fits best- I can't really say what it should be for you without knowing more about the pic/what it is you're trying to convey.

uhm, it's actually that i don't think about the themes much while drawing...(i even dunno what comes out of my pic when starting...it's always so different!)
but thanks for the advices, i will remember them for the next pic!

In all honesty I don't much either ^^; but if you're really stuck it's a good thing to consider.
Or just use whatever random background you feel like drawing that day :la: both way work well :)

Cool.
I like the way the blood is blended as it seeps up the dress.
Her anatomy is super long and lean, but it's in proportion and it works.

This is minor, but I think it would make a noticeable difference: You should make a thin curved line across her lower back to designate where her skirt/wrap ends and her bare back begins.

The blood on the ground is slightly out of perspective. It looks like she's kneeling on a floor that's sloping upward at about 45 degrees.

Minor fixes.
More importantly this shows real style, and good instincts (like leaving the background white) in it's creation. Nice work!

thanks for the comment, now i see that the blood is a bit out-of-line...
@the first advice: i intended to let body and skirt merge into each other (some kind of "abstract" effect) so i am glad you recognized this element! thank you!
