Get recently inspired by a lot a ideas. You know that I like to play with mirrors on actual Bionicle design ^^
The Protosteel Shield
has always been one of my favourites in the Bionicle armory. However, it's been since the first time I got one in my hand I was wondering how it would look this way. Once modelled, I kept asking myself is fhere was a good way to display connection, create new ones or model a new connector, until I decided to keep the original one. So, we got a Great Protosteel Shield !
The same way, a friend of mine suggested to make an improved version of the Invulnerability Staff I made earlier this year, inspired but the little phantoka wing piece. This one is now inspired by the great phantoka jet wing, combined to create a Buster Sword
. Can't know why, I see it as an Ice Toa Tool...
Then, a new type of Flamesword
. First, I was inspired by the G2 flame piece but I chose to go along with a design inspired by it, but not an accurate model, not even mirrored, to give an asymetrical feel of the raging fire. This particular model leads to another :
Why not create an old Tahu's flamesword handle
with connectors to switch blades ? So, we got the Tools Extensions. You may see another one inspired by Whenua's Drill
design and this one is my favourite, for he can fit a larger panel of tools.
Important note : this particular tool has been inspired by KingSidorak
's work. Please go to his shop
and admire his work on new connectors. Don't buy my tool extension, get his
Finally, another idea dancing in my head, a HF-inspired lens piece
adapted to a Piraka face or a Kanohi Garai wearer. Made some print tests and thinks it's pretty funny ! ^^ unfortunately, due to various forms of Skakdi faces, it can't properly fill the forehead temple gap on all piraka set. However, I got very interesting results on Reidak, Thok and Vezok, as well on a Garai. I personnally think it would better suits Avak's character, due to his mechanical skills.
The last pic is an exemple of how many combinations we can get with those tools extensions. Am I right if I feel this thing a great Toa Onewa's tool variant ?
