Going Wild! | Our Anthro SoCal 2026 Recap

Hi everyone! 👋 @vagrantscout from the @Community team here. Back on September 18th, I visited Anthro SoCal 2026 to check out the scene and it was epic! 🐾 From hanging with DeviantArt members to meeting amazing new artists, I was completely immersed in the Anthro / Furry universe all afternoon. Here’s a look back at all the fun that was had at this year’s con!

The star of the show 🌟
DeviantArt senior member @The-SixthLeafClover was nice enough to let me hang out at her booth to meet some deviants and hand out some swag. She was a total rock star at the convention with the largest booth in the Dealer’s Den and a constant stream of people visiting. She even got to design the official tank top for the convention, so cool! 😎

The Fursuits were FIERCE! 🐺
I’m always amazed by the artistry that goes into fursuit design, but this year’s offerings were just stunning. New innovations in cooling, mask automations, tech integrations, and just so many different styles that anyone can find the right customization to match their fursona.

Anthro art is everywhere 🦊
There were lots of amazing artworks on display at the con featuring artists from all over the world. But I was reminded again that Anthro art isn’t just about drawing or crafting, it reaches all kinds of artistry including literature. I was really excited to meet R.A. Meenan, author of the Anthro-themed sci-fi series The Zyearth Chronicles, and we had a great chat about the universe she’s created. Just a reminder that your artistic adventures can be as wild as your imagination.
