Story
the cold air of Winter Blood Stables greatly contrasted the humid, hot, summer air of new york. claire and faramund got up early and quickly set up to go to their first official cross country show together. it felt weird to be in such heavy clothing once again. claire's turtleneck felt itchy and she went down to the stables with an annoyed grunt. faramund already had his head stuck out of his stall, clearly eager to see his owner and excited for the day to come. giving him a pat on the cheek and a kiss on the nose, with their cross country tack on the side, claire put the lead rope on his halter and unlocked the stall door.

with tack on and ready to go, claire led the bay stallion towards the starting point of the cross country trail. she greeted the other riders that were already there, shaking their hands and exchanging names. they would be the second pair to go onto the course and they watched as the first pair went into the woods.

as they came back into the view as they finished the course, claire turned to faramund and smiled. getting up onto the saddle, they started towards the entrance to the course as the announcer spoke into the microphone; "next up is BS Faramund with claire garland from Beltamore Stables!"
