Memento Mori Redux
She wakes up crying, in a small room with little light
Turning to the dim screen, she presses the buttonit blinks to life
Flying across the monitor, comes a small paper plane
As it lands beside the cursor, she ignores it
And in the vast emptyness, she turns towards the blinking line
She taps and she clicks
And there are numbers, letters, littering the screen.
Writing everything down, she realizes
That there is nothing, nothing only but nonsense.
And as she finishes,
She starts crying once more.
Silence and then,
Comes the whirring of the machine.
Wiping away traces of tears, no one would know that they were here
She deletes everything
And presses a few keys once more.
Curling up on her side, she begs for sleep to come again
And as it comes, the small paper plane blinks for a moment
Before fading into the wallpaper.
