That is really awesome! Amazing for a first time... not that I have any idea how hard it is to do. Sorry about the burn but congrats on not burning the house down! Awesome job with this!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh burnt wood. That's nice too for your first time. Round designs are sooo hard - from taking my experience with wood-cutting is similar to this. Though, maybe you should sand the ends to make it more smooth and roundish.

And.... Want to give me instead some advice since I need to go into wood-burning a sword hilt for myself? : )

I got the wood burning stuff at michell's (what ever that store is spelled) for about 30$ and its good enough to work with

just get an area that you wouldnt burn things like the kitchen or garage cause the tool be like 900 degrees and would burn anything near it,

I checked out tutorials on how to do wood burning stuff and well some times it works but others doesnt cause of the wood...the more $$ the more better ya know

there are different kinds of tip points and the universal one seems to work best in making lines....i tried like a point but doesnt work when it gets caught in the gains of the wood

but my best advice is to test out on a block of wood like i did up there and try different things and see what works best for you
