Hmm, what are you using to colour this? The art itself is quite good, but you could use a bit of work on the CG... If it's at all possible in your art program, try colouring on one or more layers over the lineart set to 'multiply'. This will remove the whitespace where the colour doesn't quite meet the lines, and make a good picture even better. ^_^

Hmm, not familiar with that one... If you can get something like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, that would be very useful to you in the future. ^_^ Open Canvas does that as well, and has the benefit of being much cheaper than either(And though I don't use it personally, from the results I've seen, Open Canvas seems to be better than Paint Shop Pro)

If your program doesn't support layers, there's always the option of doing a flood fill and then going back afterwards with a small brush in the same colour and filling in the white space by hand. Tedious and time-consuming, but it gets the job done and provides a more polished look.

But don't worry if you're not perfect on your CGing right away. ^_^ It takes time to learn! Looking around for tutorials and general tips can help, but so can just general playing around. You've got a leg up already in that you seem to have a good grasp of shading cel-style. Heh, I wish I could cel-shade, I can only do soft colouring. ^_^; *cheers you on*
