I guess i got an apology to make, beause this was not a matter i took seriously till this week, and, i guess, just got a bunch of things to re-consider. Well, better late than never :dummy:
One characteristic of fractal art is that is fairly reproduceable.
A real master with deep knowledge of fractal software can, just from looking at a piece, find out how it was made, and re-create it. It is actually amazing, and, a while ago, I followed with quite a lot of interest, the "duel" between FractalDesire (https://www.deviantart.com/fractaldesire) and zy0rg (https://www.deviantart.com/zy0rg), when they both tried - and succeeded - in reproducing each other`s artworks.
and then,

A feature: my new (and old) friends ::1::
In the last weeks, I added many new fractalists and artists to my devwatch list; along with that, I realized I never featured some of my friends who really deserve it.
Here's the first (of many, I hope! ;)) article featuring my new (and old) friends and their incredible artworks.
Enjoy!

Hi there!
I was so much inactive these days that some of you maybe don't even know who am I ;) Well, I was busy at my new job, but now I'm back, and you can try catching me at #Aposhack channel.
Apophysis 3
It is that time when you can post your thoughts or ideas about new Apophysis. Yes, it is under its way :)
Be warned though, the new major version number is not for nothing... Apophysis 3 will be a huge step forward.
The most important thing is it will support layers. Every layer can be a flame, a background,
a time-escaped fractal... and probably other types, too. A single design can have as many layers, as you can create.
Hi there!
Apophysis 2.09
As the time of expiration of Apophysis 2.08 beta 2 has come, here's a
brand new release of Apophysis 2.09.
What's new?
+ Added favourite variations
+ In variables list there're displayed only used ones
+ Not used variations are greyed out
+ Thumbnails in flames list
+ "Symmetry" parameter renamed to "Color speed"
+ Added checking XML for unrecognized variation/variable values
- 64-bit renderer removed
+ Many various fixes
One thing to keep in mind though: it's still in a beta state, so
expect some crashes from time to time... Besides, I'm still working on
few things, but it just had to be release
Hi there!
Apophysis 2.08 beta 2
Of course all of you already know there's a new Apophysis version out :)
It's mainly a bug-fix release, although there're some little additions:
Editor window: a new Xaos option: "Rebuild xaos links" - intended to restore xaos links when deleting "linked" transforms
Adjust window: gamma_threshold control - used to make low-density & noisy areas of the fractal less visible
Render window: "Low priority" checkbox - allows to control priority of the multi-threaded rendering process
As always, you can download it at SourceForge.net.

Hi utak3r, it's been a good long while since your last post regarding Apophysis - when I saw it in 2012 I was eager to see progress on it, but now that I'm employed as a software developer I've remembered this project and would love to help bring it to completion. If you haven't abandoned it I would love to help; if you no longer have time for it, I would love to take it over from you.
Hi there. Sorry for late reply, I'm rarely looking at dA recently. The project is not abandonded, however I'm short of time... For now I'm working on a core. When it's finished, I'm glad to accept any help to continue. So, please ping me sometimes
Hey don't worry about it, I also don't come here anymore - usually only log in once every 3 months or so. I'll keep it in mind and definitely ping you in the future!
Hi Peter (Undertaker), I was wondering if you were still alive & with apophysis. I'm glad you are. I have a question. I want to print some of my images. The printing lab calls for 274 DPI. I can't figure out how to render at 274 DPI. Could you help me out please? Thankx, Daimon~
