A lot of people are leaving this godforsaken place. I had over 27,100 images; now I have 26,387 images. The number of favorites in my collection suggests that many are leaving due to the AI stunt.
To begin with, DeviantArt has implemented a cash requirement for artists to protect uploads on the website. There are concerns about the lack of an effective reporting mechanism for users who bypass the AI turn-off option. This raises questions about the platform’s commitment to providing a space for traditional artists to display their work without interference from AI-generated content.
Some people believe that the abundance of AI-generated works makes it difficult to distinguish authentic creations by traditional artists amid the flood of AI images. A significant number of users have asserted that their engagement with AI content is not deliberate but rather an inevitable consequence of the website's design.
Critics claim that DeviantArt used artists’ content to create the DreamUp AI generator without proper consent, raising ethical questions about the website’s practices. This situation has led to the belief that DeviantArt’s focus has shifted from supporting traditional

DeviantArt Inc goes fully evil!
I won’t complain about website content being scraped by AI composites or DeviantArt’s “protection” requiring a checkbox for each uploaded image. No. You should expect people to misuse your work and DeviantArt, which can lead to them becoming incompetent. Fortunately, they implemented an automated system after the backlash they received from us.
I anticipated that they would misuse your work, and DeviantArt failed to deliver. Once something is posted online, it is accessible to everyone. That’s the beast. If you don’t like it, do not upload the content. Simple as that! However, I’m furious about the deluge of AI composites flooding my feed here. I see more of that crap than genuine and original content. DeviantArt guarantees that their AI tools will not consume user content; however, we won’t discuss this further. I came here to discuss this:

If you are going to force Eclipse on everyone, the least you can do is fix and finish the website first! This is meant to be a comprehensive, alphabetized list of all the features that are either tarnished by Eclipse, flat-out removed, hidden, or replaced. I will continue to update this as I discover things that are missing or broken. :new: Update: I added what @danlev wrote in his comment . Note that what he wrote is in bold. But that doesn’t mean they’re easy to find. There is still much to be done on this to make it 100% functional.Removed Features:
