Not gonna lie, Arcane on Netflix has left me an emotional wreck and IDGAF who knows it. It's the best goddamned animated anything I've ever watched and I may as well quit watching TV because nothing will ever be this good again...but that being said, now that it's over there's so much to like about this series' denouement, not the least of which is this surprising song from S2 E7. It's likely not a shock that Prof. Heimerdinger (voiced admirably by the talented Mick Wingert) is my fave character from Arcane given my lean-to towards heroic scientists, but this jaunty melody that evokes folk greats such as Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie was such a shock and surprise that I can't help but share it here. Out of context this video clip may seem a bit strange, but just focus on the lyrics and know that come what may, the gears keep turning.
"Keep marching on, my friends...and do what you can."
I'm glad to have you as fans and I'm happy you're still hanging around
Man, just realized that next year PCC will be 30 years old - you'd think I'd have been able to finish a single storyline in that time
There's something pretty cool about being listed as the first videogame comic on the internet by multiple sources, even though that doesn't really amount to much in the grand scheme of the universe
So, as part of my 501st Legion experience, as a TIE pilot I need to choose a callsign that I can eventually use on my trading cards when I get those printed. So I eliminated 15 choices from a list of 30, leaving behind the 15 best options along with a small character explanation of why they might be relevant:
Backdrop - usually in the background in group photos, doesn't move much
Backfire - my best-laid plans usually end up a disaster
Blackout - all-black helmet, passed out on training flight due to wrong oxygen mixture
Cypher - most people can't figure me out
Nightshift - typically up until 4am
Ricochet - my thoughts bounce around randomly in any discussion
Scattershot - lack of focus when numerous tasks need to be done
Squawkbox - LOTS of late night chatroom feeds...best have notifications off!
Static - filling the chat buffer with random convos
Tailspin - not the best at pulling out of bad situations
TechSpec - I may not be able to hit an enemy ship but I can tell you everything about it
Umbra - shadow of an eclipse (all-black helmet)
Vampire - up all night, avoids sunlight
Wingclip - once lost a TIE fighter wing panel on a hangar bay door
Wrongway - consistently losing orientation in 3D space
Might choose one, might choose none! I dunno, I can never figure these things out
