Voodoo Illos

This was a set of illustrations that I just tripped over...interior art for "Beyond the Storm: Shadows of the Big Easy" an RPG book done as a benefit shortly after Katrina. They were lurking on my hard drive and I just now noticed 'em. Heh.

I did a lot with voodoo dolls, because A) I like drawing voodoo dolls, B) any RPG set in New Orleans is gonna have to involve voodoo at some point and C) I don't actually know crap about New Orleans. (I did get lost there once...we were looking for the French Quarter, and then I saw this interesting bird and gave chase in the car, and by the time I paid attention to my buddy Carlota's frantic throat clearings, we were someplace with boarded up buildings and crack deals on three of four street corners. Never DID find the French Quarter, alas...)
