Vivid Mudskipper

Painting Richard the Frogheart t'other day reminded me of how much I enjoy painting these straightforward little psychedelic critters (and believe me, at the moment, enjoying painting ANYTHING is a minor miracle) The noble mudskipper (always a favorite of mine, for no particular reason, except maybe that they pop their eyes all the way back inside their heads when they blink) seemed like a natural for the treatment.

Original is approx. 8 x 14 on a chunk of acid-free foamcore, which is kinda neat stuff to work with--has an interesting texture, but unfortunately if you erase too hard, it dents the surface. So it's a mixed bag. Original is for sale, prints available, send a note for pricing info.
