Dragonbreath Sample

Y'all may have noticed that I've been uploading very little these days (or maybe you haven't noticed!) The reason is because I've been hammering out 80 pages of comic art for my upcoming kid's book, "Dragonbreath" to be published by Penguin Dial next summer.

I am finally finished. I did 80 pages in about six weeks, and I am burned out like you would not BELIEVE. But it's done! Done! Gloriously done! PLEASE GOD LET IT BE DONE!*

Since I love y'all, here's a sample of what it's going to look like. The little dragon is named Danny, his buddy the iguana in glasses is Wendell. It's primarily for kids 8-10, I think. (So sayeth my editor.) It's not much like Nurk, being rather more Cartoon Network than Miyazaki, but hopefully it'll be a fun read for kids anyway.

They've already bought the sequel, so there should be at least two books in the series, and if it does well, hey, maybe more!

Obviously it'll be all over the journal when you can order it on Amazon or buy it in the store, so enjoy!
