Bramble Dragons by ursulav Bramble Dragons by ursulav
Just something to scratch the art itch. I don't think the kid knows whether the dragons are real or not...come to think of it, neither do I...

Anyway, digital, Painter 11, prints available at Red Wombat Studio: [link]

That poor kiddo...Love the pic, it has the feeling of the very beginning of a narnia-esque story. That rabbit is significant, I'm sure of it.
Masterpiece.

For some reason I think the bunny is going to rescue her from the nasty dragons. It just takes a few nibbles...

Remember - the one thing monsters are scared of is a child who is not afraid! If the monsters surround you, just shout "RARRRR! I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU!" and they will all run away.

Please note, this does not work with bears.

I wanted to let you know I featured your artwork in my weekly journal. This week my journal is a tribute to dragons in honor of the new lunar year. I love this piece.

It has been a while since I have seen something quite so amazing. The little bunny is a wonderful touch.

Sweet and scary!

Perfect use of the red in the mittens to draw attention back to the center.

This is lovely. Whether the dragons are real or not, there's a feeling from childhood of being in the wood after dark that you've really captured here.

The things you see in the woods. If that bunny is anything like the one from Monty Python and the Holly Grail, the kid is looking in the wrong direction.

Very touching... the dragons have that stylized charm of Disney's Sleeping Beauty, which I loved. The rabbit looks fairly reassuring though, so I am sure the little girl is just overly imaginative.... many of us scare ourselves silly when there is nothing really there.

I like to think that the bramble dragons are real and are being controlled by their leader, the little white bunny. No one suspects the little white bunny.

Made me think of a (short-lived) comic strip from the 1900s....... "Wee Willie Winkie's World", by Lyonel Feininger. I don't suppose you were referencing that? 7@=e

So cute! This looks like it could be a moment from a Brother's Grimm fairytale with a moral of not walking in the woods alone...with a bunny. Or something like that. Amazing as ever!
