ACEO - Fetal Faun

As is sadly often the case, the thumbnail sketch for the painting had a certain something that didn't transfer to the painting. *sigh* I wish I knew how or why that is. However, it happened that the thumbnail was a perfect ACEO size, so I cut it out and popped it in an ACEO mat and called it good.

Obviously a relative of St. Gereon and the Unsaint paintings, simplified down. Something about this shape, which I've taken to calling "fetal fauns" for lack of a better name, really appeals to me, but I'm not quite sure what I'm getting at with it yet...
