Well, not right at this moment... but coming as soon as possible.
That's right. I'm actually going to see what I can do about getting this thing together to be actually and physically printed so we can all hold it in our little hands. I set up a dummy copy and assembled it as a PDF today to see how the layout works, and we're good to go. An outstanding artist has graciously volunteered his services for cover art, and I'll be looking at adding a Prelude page to add some story to it.
So that means that the profiles that I have done are the ones being included in this issue. Those of you who are still awaiting me to get off my duff and work on yours (and there are far more of you than I expected) will be included in the second issue.
Yep, that's right. I want to do another once this is done.
Once this is all together and ready to be ordered, I'll be sure to put a link up here where you can all snag a copy. As for price, I'm going to make sure that it's the absolute minimum that IndyPlanet has to charge. I'm certainly not looking to make money on this. The characters belong to us all, and so should the issue.
I'll be sure to keep you updated as progress progresses.
13 days left for Indieversity!
For those that may not have been aware, the campaign for INDIEVERSITY has been live for a few weeks now, and as of today has 13 days left. If you want a physical copy of the project, now is your time to go and get it. It features well over 130 different worlds, and is on-track to be about 80 pages long. It also features two covers: One story-based cover by :iconmrfishlee: and another cover by artist Mitch Ballard that will not be made available again outside this campaign. Head on over and back it if you've not done so already. http://kck.st/2YU1qEr
Indieversity is closed
Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry into my Indieversity Project, but I'm no longer accepting any new submissions. I've got one more to finish for someone, but then that's it.
Indieversity Project and How to submit
While the original deadline of July first has passed, unsurprisingly the post-deadline interest in submitting to the Indieversity Project has grown. And so, I've decided to extend submission time until I'm ready to commission the cover art for this. So for those who have been asking or wondering, the submission guidelines are as follows... 1) I’ll need you to select characters from your world that you think best define what your world is. It can be a team, a random assortment, or even just a single character. They then need to either be arranged in a grouping that fits the example space below, with a white background. 300 dpi image please. The image can be as large as you like, but must be shaped to fit into a space with the below proportions. I'll shrink it to fit on my end. 2) I’ll also need you to choose a numerical designation for your Earth, or letter, or Greek letter, or something along those lines. No “Earth-Joe Blow Comics” or stuff like that. Folks have seemed to
Eclipse? Yeah, I don't think so.
Count me among those who will most likely be leaving when/if TPTB force Eclipse upon us. I had to once again switch back to the old style when I logged in this morning, but I get the feeling that won't be an option for much longer. I've been looking for an excuse to leave, and this might be the kick in the pants I've been waiting for. I've got pages set up on Facebook for both Steel Wolf [link] and Taranis [link], so when the time comes, you can follow me there if you're interested.
