Description
The arch-villain called EMPYRE is the leader of an elite group of would-be master villains called THE CITADEL. Empyre himself possesses the power of molecular disruption, and is able to sever or disrupt the bonds holding matter and energy together at a molecular level. If he uses his powers on an organic being, it can cause excruciating pain at the very least, or agonizing death by molecular discorporation at the most. The only material known to be able to resist his power is the molecularly unstable metal called Victorium.
Empyre and the Citadel were the primary adversaries of the Alliance team prior to the current group's incarnation. After years of his plans being thwarted by the group, Empyre led the Citadel on a campaign that ended in the deaths of many members of the team as well as their loved ones. It was only through the sacrifice of the hero known as Vanguard that Empyre was defeated by being banished into a dimensional rift.
Now, a little real-world history. I include him under the category of Steel Wolf Adversaries because back during our RPG days, Empyre and the Citadel (then called "Zeta Flight") was THE major villain of our campaign. For modern continuity, I've moved him and the Citadel team back in time a bit, but that doesn't mean we can't/won't see them in new projects going forward.
EMPYRE and THE CITADEL created by and are the property of Eric N. Bennett.

He kind of reminds me of Doctor Strange.
