De Verdedigers #19192 cover

Over in ARENA group on Facebook, I had sponsored a number of and Ramon Schenk's character from their "Verdedigers" series (which translates loosely as "Defenders" or "Protectors"). Since I had art of all the characters involved (including Rik and Johan de Neef's other major character DONAR), I decided to work up a mock cover homaging the cover that Rik himself had done (seen here in his own awesome style...

And of course, even though I don't know if he'll be in the story or not, I had to include Donar on this since he's my favorite.

The characters on the cover are (left to right) Schicht ("Lightning"), Donar, De Schildwacht ("The Sentinel" or "The Sentry"), Boogschutter ("Sagittarius"), and Smaragd ("Emerald").

And of course, all characters created by and are the property of HIP Comics, Rik Van Niedek, Ramon Schenk, and Johan de Neef.
