For the first time, since I've started doing art, I feel like I'm getting to where I want to be. I never knew how awesome it would feel to get to this point. Being able to translate what's in my head to a canvas/screen and see it staring back at me—just as I imagined it—is a very humbling experience. So I did my first animation clip with Cinema 4D yesterday. I tried to upload it here as a deviation, but DA has something against any animation that isn't Flash based. So here's a youtube link for it instead.
First off, I learned a shit ton about C4D from doing this thing. Even though it's tiny, (only 6 seconds) It took HOURS to make. My mind boggles at the idea of how difficult/time consuming it is for real animators. So much stuff to worry about and a million things that can go wrong.
