Unrulerly

This post is a little late, as late July was the official year mark, but it's the one year anniversary of the revival of this page! I've done a variety of different pieces in a number of styles that have been added to my repertoire. It's obvious there has been improvement in the work overall, and practice is gradually making me better. I've vastly enjoyed my art journey, and am grateful to all those who have been here with me and given my art some love. Thank you!

It's been a year since I started drawing again with any degree of seriousness. It all began shortly before Christmas of last year, when my significant other got me a drawing tablet for an early present. It was on a major sale refurbished, and I was so excited to get it. We even went driving for an hour the day it came because I needed an adapter to plug it into my monitor. He decided to encourage my drawing when we both got new phones when our carrier mandated an update to 5G. It had a little pen and I doodled a picture real quick on the notes page. "That's good," he said. And while I think he meant it, it wasn't exactly the Mona Lisa: Once I got my pad, I started practicing. This is the first piece I created on my pad: Cute, but not really anything special. Since then, minus a few breaks where I spent a couple weeks not drawing, I have been practicing several times a week for a year now. With my latest deviation, I think I've felt some real progress. It's been a long time coming, but I finally got around to sprucing up my page and adding some of my newer pieces. I got a drawing pad back in December as a gift, and have been going crazy practicing ever since. As such, a lot of these pieces vary in quality depending on when I made them. There are sketches for those who enjoy figure drawings, and a lot of characters from various games and media (mostly DC and Dungeons and Dragons stuff for now, but that'll likely expand) that I like to draw. All of them are done right now via my little Wacom One, the little drawing pad that could. It does display everything slightly redder than true, but having a drawing pad with its own monitor is something I never even imagined before. So, this is where my art will go. COMMISSIONS are likely to become a thing in the future, once I figure out prices and interest.
