Self Maintenance

Ace: I know having a prosthetic limb may seem cool and all, kids (I mean you're not wrong), but remember they need to be routinely maintained. Dirt, grease, fur and food particulate builds up inside the components, and if you don't clean it out thoroughly at least once a week it can interfere with and damage the hardware. In addition, wear and tear means parts have to be replaced quite often, so us cyborgs always need a personal tool kit on hand...especially for those of us who like to do crazy things with our bionics, like crush ceramic mugs, punch through glass, rip through wood, cloth and even metal with built-in "Wolverine claws," fire grappling hooks from them like Batman or even catch bullets in mid flight with it...none of which you should try at home, by the way.
----
Thanks to franchises like Star Wars, The Terminator and Robocop, I've always had a fascination with bionics, and for a long time I've wanted to either write or draw a scene of Ace "maintaining" his prosthetic paw, as one would naturally need to be.

First off, I'd like to mention to you about the colors, their good and for the reason is that they complement each other (the hands and background specifically). The outlines of the drawing looks rough and I have a bit of a problem with that, but at least it's it creates a form that separate's it from the each other. I can guess the object between the hands is the head, but it took me a while until I realized what it was.
Lastly, the texture is okay and the shadows are good. All in all the drawing isn't bad, it's average but it requires some improvements.

"Object between the hands"? That's a tuft of fur from his chest. It's from his perspective, looking down on his paws as he works.
As for the rough lines...yeah that's an issue I've always had. A side effect of my drawing method; sketching the outline with pen and paper, scanning it and then adding in everything else in a very VERY old version of Photoshop Elements. Like...version 2008. XD

That was a big part of the inspiration...as was this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zrqe9Z…
