A girl crying, short hairs, and is beautiful.
No use of colors. You have successfully created a painting that needs no color to express feelings. The sad feeling is fully reflected seeing this painting.Except Ears, everything i see is realistic and perfect.Painting makes me feel sad, and do awaken my inner feelings. That is what a painting should be, to move the mind, to bring feelings inside. Precision in watercolor is difficult, but your hard work is clearly visible in this painting.Shadow on the eyes, that part i like a lot, because the shadows falling on the upper section of head makes it look more dark, more sad.
Congrats for this great artwork. All the best!
Hi, unnibabu, and thanks for your heartfelt critique. The girl I was portraying was indeed very troubled at the time. Using colours simply felt out of place. I made this portrait as a way to convey respect for her and what she was going through, and to capture endurance.
This is the first time I receive critique for my deviations and was somewhat surprised that it was regarding This picture. Your beautiful description of what you perceive here is meaningful to me. I would never have known that others could see or feel something of what I was trying to depict.
My sincerest thanks for taking the time and all the best to you.
