Now if you wonder why I was so silent on both here and Instagram, you have something to blame.
Oh boy, where can I even start to explain this in such small space?
For more detail, just check my uni blog I guess.
Long story short, I took a leap of faith between two of my choices (The Varangian Way and this) and, after constant sketchbooking and dramatically changing so much of the story during the production, I made this. Two guys called Tulimaq and Nuuk, taking a Ghibli-esque journey through the Arctic and... to be honest, the ending is definitely up to your interpretation.
I honestly realised this just after I started inking. Because, I did had a solid story in mind, to explain everything in detail. But once I scrapped a lot of the beginning and decided to change the course of the story, it became nothing. Now with the Inuit philosophy on human & beast, and the thing about skeletons I presented, the viewer can interpreted the ending (and the whole story really) as however you want.
For the juicy details.
Edit: Now, dA decided to not properly zoom this in, thus I decided to open this to download. Hopefully now you can properly see the weeks-worth of details.
So yeah, enjoy the beast.
