Description

Short story

A wide grin spread across Jack’s face as he lifted the TF-VR headset from its packaging. It was a very reasonably priced headset, just $20. The shopkeep had mentioned in ‘paying for it with something other than money’, but superstition was hardly a reason to miss out on a great deal.

More to the point, it looked like it synced well enough with his PC, which meant that he was just about ready to run The Ballad of Robin: Airbrim. The man lifted the goggles over his eyes, blinking as he adjusted to seeing the native resolution. Immediately, he could tell why people preferred using a headset to a monitor: everything was so crisp and lifelike!

“This is incredible!” He breathed, hurriedly using the controllers to switch over to the character creation menu. The man beamed as he saw the familiar form of a Felit Warrior, his favorite class since Yesterbreeze. Normally he wouldn’t mod a game on his first time through, but normally he wasn’t playing in VR.

“Let’s see… Mod database, Felit… Ooh.” A wealth of compatible mods populated the screen before him, and he was immediately glad the developers gave modders early-access. Already he could see something he liked: brilliant blue hair, the shade of cyan. Normally Felits were either black or white, which always disappointed him slightly.

That was an auto-install, as was the fur enhancer that would give his Felit a more fluffy look. Glowing runic tattoos was a moment’s hesitation, as was the mod to install a third breast into her. That said, the mod to remove her top was an almost instantaneous decision on his part.

A few seconds later, and Jack found himself running through the fields of… Well, he had no idea. The game didn’t tell him where he’d spawned, that first-level sense of wonder filling his heart. The young man angled the controllers to move forward, gawping in shock as his character moved naturally. The headset warmed slightly, but he paid it no heed, too distracted by the natural beauty of his game.

Jack should have taken the headset off to inspect it—that might have helped him notice it was beginning to glow with an eldritch aura. Instead, he continued to play, and his form began to change. The first thing was the most drastic: a shift to his ears.

They slipped through the headband of his headset, his earlobes lengthening and drawing to triangular points. New muscles twitched them towards his computer’s speakers, and a gasp slipped from his lips. “Wow, did the sound quality get better?” He grinned, oblivious to the fact that fur was creeping along skin that had been smooth moments before.

A purr rattled deep within his throat, and the corners of his mouth upturned as he encountered his first enemy. Instinctively, he dropped into a low crouch, his muscles aching slightly. He thought the burn was from an unnatural pose. The reality was that it stemmed from them reshaping, toning into a lithe, female frame. His hips swelled, and the sides of his waist pinched into a delightfully luscious hourglass.

Then, he struck. Jack’s teeth bared, sharpening as he swiped his on-screen claws at the low-level serpent before him. As he did, his nails lengthened into claws, and a series of tattoos glowed into life along his arms. His clothing changed with his body, jeans slipping into a loose fabric skirt and wrist bandages encircling his wrists.

The skirt allowed his developing tail to slip out from his spine without the discomfort of a human waistband, and his dissolving shirt perfectly revealed his growing breasts, all three of them. Fur covered him to make up a fraction of his nudity, but that didn’t keep them from swaying and bouncing against one another with his each and every motion.

“Wow… It’s so immersive!” He beamed, even as his face pushed out into a short feline muzzle. The man looked down to his ‘virtual’ breasts, shaking his hips from side to side and laughing as his character model jiggled. “I can actually feel them pressing against each other, this is great!”

He wouldn’t find it so ‘great’ a few hours later, when he removed the headset…

Great image and accompanying story.
I would certainly be curious to know where one could find such a headset...
