Once Learned, Never Forgotten
Once Learned, Never Forgotten      The Cranberry Festival of Harwich, Massachusetts, is an annual 10-day celebration held to welcome autumn and the harvesting of cranberries. In the near four decades of its existence, it has grown into a one-of-a-kind event, attracting families from across the nation to enjoy the farm-themed rides and events, as well as live entertainment and fresh produce sold at stands.      5 years old, crowning a Shirley Temple hairstyle, I stood in the long line of the super-slide that accompanied other child attractions at the fair. As I near my destination And absorb the surrounding scene, I cock my head to ponder: Just where is all the green? It couldn't have been stolen… …perhaps it's gone astray? I shake my head in wonder And continue on my way. With my journey's end approaching, As I

Leila and the Forest Creatures
Leila started off on her walk through the wooded path she took to home every evening. The thick blanket of fog enveloping her made it difficult to see the path. There was hardly any wind, but the maple leaves, battered by cold winds the past morning, floated slowly and gracefully to the soft, moist ground below. ------CUT!------      Woah, woah. Graceful leaves? Battered by cold winds? Where's all this poetic nonsense coming from? You're starting to sound like my Grandpa Tim! Okay, so yeah, you're walking through some fog, no wind, hard to see. We got that. Now, no more poetic nonsense, capuche? ------ACTION!-----

Missing
You know how all great writers give advice that says "Write every day?" Ms. Gildard, my 6th grade LA teacher, DID make us write EVERY DAY. When we'd come in, she'd have a prompt on the board and we'd write a reflection on it. She even cut out lots of History time so we could read and write. She was awesome and funny and could always, ALWAYS relate to us. We even wrote letters in our journal to her, and she'd respond. At first they were required, but we all grew to love doing it enough so we'd ALL (48 or so of us) write 2-3 letters a DAY. But she never got frustrated or overwhelmed. She just loved. But then last year, she told us that God told
Fake Friends
There are some people who are getting too fake here on dA. They only want posts, comments, or to see how many friends they can get. So let's see who will actually re-post this.
