Sugarcube Corner [Day Ver.]

Lately I have been working on the reboot for my pony comic, Ask-Pink-Pony. A background element for the first and second pages of this reboot was Sugarcube Corner, so I decided to go one step further and draw it in more detail than the average scene. Unfortunately I ended up spending a lot longer on this image, as I am want to do, and what I intentionally started as a quick and nasty copy of the official render, ended up becoming quite detailed, almost to the point of standing out against the original, ugly line-work. There's quite a visual dissonance between the black outlines of the cake shop, and the unlined surroundings, but it does need to fit in with the style of the comic. So here we are. The original, very rough sketch was traced from the official artwork, then lined by eye based on reference. If things are a little off, it doesn't really matter for reasons that will be clear in the comic. It's fairly odd to release a panel of the comic before the comic itself, but since I spent so much time on this, I thought it deserved its own upload, and it was done before the page, so...
