Zee-Light and Zee-Lego by unconed Zee-Light and Zee-Lego by unconed
Two presets based on the same idea, but one is more old-school than the other ;).

The coding for the pattern is more complicated than you might think at first... it normalizes itself and will sometimes freeze on beat. So the response is subtle, but quite nice...

Love this. My kind of preset, where it's this fairly simple preset (or at least appears to be) but you develop the hell out of it so it becomes a whole new creature. & its got all the aesthetics right as well. Great job!

Now if only people would stop commenting on visualisation presets as if they were pictures ... :(

ACK!! I love you!
I need new visuals for my winamp. I was just starting to get bored of the ones I had.

I respond positively to this. The angle questions me.

... I mean... It's nice. I like it.

Wow! That's very cool.
I also adore the title XDD

i like the red one.. the other one could work better if it was less blank

Im having a hard time finding music that would fit with this preset, my guess is i would need some ambient which i don't posses. Anyway, I first thought it was a single ssc/texer grid and you did that whole "avs within avs" thing, but then i found out that you cheated by using mirroring and flipping! =p
Well, it's nice for what it is, but as i said i don't have the necessary music for it to really shine on my system.

And definetly i prefer the light version

pppffff, smooth for me (26-32fps @ 1056*786 Pxldoubling on) seems like they are a little over reactive. Nice, kinda old-skool on the surface but with some decent maths under the hood. Would have been nice if they had a wider angle of view, so you could really get that skimming the surface effect.

Good to see some AVS from you

I really like their looks, but indeed, they need really soft music
Hboy Featured By Owner Jul 8, 2005
both of them need some really calm music. that way you can see properly how it reacts. otherwise it looks like a mess. i luckily don't have fps problems (heh i nearly never have, this runs at ~29 in 400x300 fullscreen). refreshing to see this from you, but the look with loud music is not really right.

The patterns are very wachable and definately provide good response; the use of colour is also good in both. Zee-Lego (Logo dsfs?) is nicer imo but they are different enough to provide variety.

Bad points:

* Louder songs cause the pattern to wash out
* No frame rate independance (thats a bad unconed! bad!)
unconed Featured By Owner Jul 8, 2005
It looks fine on loud music here... maybe the FPS dependence has something to do with it. I said it was old school ;).

Mmm, these are certainly refreshing. Personally, I'm more partial to Zee-Logo. I really like the camera movements in both of these, the symmetry and, of course, the response. Nice work!
