Here is my entry for the Helvetica NOW Poster Contest going on at Lino Type to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the typeface's introduction.

This particular entry has been pieced together from multiple pictures. I would like to take this opportunity to point them out.

The windmill and the boats were acquired from stock.xchng: [link]

The inspiration came from Gary Hustwit who produced a documentary on Helvetica to coincide with its fiftieth anniversary of the typeface's introduction.

nice!!!
for the light, didi u use brushes or make it yourself?
(impressive nonetheless)
^^

i would have to say that 25% is brush. Everything else is done from a tutorial of creating a brush stroke in Photoshop using the Pen Tool. What you do is you make a line in Photoshop using the Pen Tool. You click off of the Pen Tool and select the Brush Tool, specify the thickness of a brush, switch back to the Pen Tool, right click on the path and select Stroke Path from the drop down menu while making sure that Simulat Pressure check box is checked. Press ok and there you have it. Righ click on the Path and select Delete Path. Wow I should so make a tutorial out of this haha.
