The First Kiss

The Doctor leaned forward through the TARDIS doors and softly kissed Rose on the lips, cupping her chin gently. The press of his lips to hers only lasted a moment before he pulled back and grinned at her shocked face. "Until next time, Rose Tyler."

This wonderful piece of fanart is of one of my favorite parts of Lumendea's Defender of the Earth fanfiction, the second book in the Guardians of the Universe series, an ongoing Doctor Who fanfiction about what might have happened had Rose Tyler met the Doctor when she was eleven. The series is currently hosting a number of fics, beginning with The Blonde Girl, with the current fic in the works being The Tyler Factor.

This is my favorite Doctor Who fanfiction. Those of you who know me know that I ship Rose and the Doctor like FedEx ships packages. They are my favorite pairing in everything and I see Bad Wolf in practically every episode.

Frankly, I don't think this picture does that scene or chapter justice, but I hope you enjoyed it and if you haven't read The Blonde Girl yet, I hope you'll check it out.
