Area 51.
Tolles Bild!
He does, doesn't he? Though not covering his tattoos kinda makes him easily recognizable The artefact is the Triangle of Light from the first Tomb Raider movie (as are the two strands of hair. They are actually from a set based upon Angelina Jolie's look in the movie) :D
I haven't seen it in years either. The movies get a lot of hate but I love them. As much as I love the new era of Tomb Raider and the new movie, too, my fav era will always be the time of Legend/Anniversary/Underworld which coincided with the Jolie movies.
Put together a *very* wealthy group of eccentric, obsessed UFO-ologists and a rogue coven of witches with a talent for illusions and glamor, and what do you have? The potential for a very sweet scam.
But does Jon want to expose them or get a piece of the action? ;)
Ideas? I'm full of 'em!
The title "Security Breach" immediately gave me a storyline for this: I imagine these creatures are some kind of Lovecraftian race that has kept itself hidden and disguised for millenia while serving their sleeping/hidden masters.
I think they've found a way into Whitechurch Manor, either through some unknown passage or sewer system and are using that device for some insidious purpose.
Jonathon has sensed the device activation and is investigating. He either recognises it, or senses its power and is going to steal it.
Also, it looks to me like the 'Triangle of Light'.
Wow... that is really good, ya know? You definitely are thinking like me, but much faster in this case. I love the Lovecraftian angle, no pun intended. I was thinking that Jon steals the artefact from somewhere, though, instead of having it under the house, but that is also an interesting direction
And we have a winner! Both the Triangle and the strands are from a set based on Angelina's Lara.
My brain goes off on random tangents sometimes. I was looking at my comment again and wondered... isn't the name "Triangle of Light" a little odd, since it stops and rewinds time? Wouldn't "Triangle of Fate" have been more appropriate? I mean, if you can rewind time with it and even exist outside of time to change things, you'd effectively be controlling fate. Or maybe there was a copyright reason they couldn't use that name. 🤷♂️
