Vanilluxe Evolution Line

When I first looked at this piece, I was skeptical. True, the "ice cream" evolutionary line is nearly impossible to make realistic, but when I imagined them as realistic, I never envisioned floating conch shells.

So when I saw this, I wasn't sure what I thought of it at first. I couldn't decide if it was just creative enough to be ingenious, or if it was just too weird. But after digging into the design a little bit, I decided that this really was an incredibly unique take on these Pokemon.

They are obviously extremely original. No question there. And impactful. I walked away from this design thinking, "Wow. Now there's someone who looks at one thing, can turn it into something almost completely different, and yet connect the two almost seamlessly."

Now, the design is not without flaws. The colors are a bit off, the purple and yellow, namely. And the shape of these creatures is just a little bit too jagged...not exactly parallel to the original Pokemon. However, that being said, this remains a powerful and overwhelmingly creative piece. Well done.
