The battle has been won

Sorry folks, but I've been cut off for a while from the Net. I've been fighting with my server.  When my computer got hit they had promised me that I didn't have to pay for the time I lost.  There was a mix up, but we got things straightened out and they reset my connection.

Boy do I have a lot of work to do! :)  I have all of your ideas running around in my head, but I really need some help.  Some of you will be getting notes from me about setting up some Chats  about working with your favorite formulas and textures.  I'd, also, like someone who knows techniques  on how different OCA's make the look  of formulas change by using them.

Please note us if you are willing to work things out.

Thanks,
ArtistInWaiting

I'd be willing to help but I don't really know what exactly you mean by "techniques on how different OCA's make the look of formulas change by using them." :? You mean how different types of fractal colouring methods work in general? (trap-based, escape-time, etc. etc.) The technical explanation stuff that bores almost everyone or are you looking for information about how to apply them effectively in artwork? If you'd prefer to talk about it by note that's fine.

That's exactly what I mean. How to apply these things, with visuals for people to really see. Most people don't get very far with the technical side of it...I myself either get totally confused or fall asleep.

I have an idea for presenting this in the chatroom and will be noting you soon.

ok, most of the billions of colouring algorithms are written based on just a few basic methods. You don't need a whole lot of technical knowledge to recognize them... It would probably make a good chat topic and I could see it being really useful to a lot of people that get overwhelmed by so many OCAs to choose from. There are hundreds of (most popular) OCAs based on the orbit trap method but once you can use one the rest are pretty easy. :) I'll look forward to that note.

Glad to hear from you Michele! I was wondering what had happened to you.

I've been mostly keeping up with favorites, I can knock them out pretty quickly though...I can try giving you hand with the subs too, if you'd like?

Lexi, you've been doing a great job. I have been trying to think of more that you can do that is a little different. Behind the scenes work is OK, but I'd like to bring you more to the front. (If that is OK with you)

Sure! I don't know about bringing me to the front on the fractal grounds...to be quite honest I've been out of fractals for quite a number of months now.

And thank you Michele!

 Good for winning the battle ! Sorry I can't help --don't even know what OCA's are :cries: :( -- I can offer some help with uploading and sorting things for you in the club.
I am doing some work stuff for my ex-office and that takes priority as it means $ , so I can't promise a fixed day or times :glomp: but at least until you get more people to help, you may count on that

You are a multi-talented lady and I can use your help. I'm going to work up some revisions in the Gallery so as to make things quicker and easier.

I'll be noting you with some questions by this weekend.

Thanks

The lazy days of summer are becoming just a memory and with Fall here and Winter coming we are getting trapped in the Job and Holiday time of the year.

Make sure you watch the Journal, I will be putting up schedules again to make it easier to keep track of Events.
