Description

The great wandering hero of the Fallen Age in Mirha and the main protagonist of the Conquerors of Mirha. The very last member of the once mighty Clan of Vul, Nariya is chosen to be the current Vuldoric and wielder of the mighty war axe of the same name to help save her world from threats of all kind and restore the kingdoms to their glory. Travelling the world seeking honour and justice, Nariya has made a name for herself as she and the companions she makes along the way have slain many evildoers and have ventured into many unknown perils that lay before her. In time, Nariya is known as a hero and a legend as one of the most famous Vuldorics in recent times. Yet her story and adventure is more than just fighting warlords and many monsters; it is about conquering herself, overcoming her greatest flaws and struggles as the Vuldoric and figuring out what it means to show honour and self worth. From a savage barbarian to a redeemed hero, Nariya's tale is of tragedy, epic tales, self discovery and high adventure...

Nariya's beginning was not a simple or even humble. At that time, Mirha had entered a difficult time known simply as The Fallen Age, where Kingdoms became corrupt and Kediyan clans waged war with each other. Born into the Clan of Vul, Nairya's lineage was of great importance, but her Clan was not as prosperous as it once was. Only a few of her people were left after their greatest prize, the Vuldoric axe, was lost for over a hundred years and many members either left or were subject to a massive culling. With Nariya and her parents being the only surviving members of the Clan of Vul, they did what they can to provide for their daughter and even branded the clans signature above her arm, but an ambush from a gang of bandits and marauders had killed her father while her mother had to give her up and leave her to another clan where she would be safe. For many years, Nairya was taken under the care of a tough and frankly very cruel master, which lead to Nariya's bitterness and very harsh demeanour. By the time she was a teen, Nariya fled from her master and pursued a life of solitude where she was able to survive on her own. Her survival wasn't out of the bloom, it took a long time before she became a master of it. Many scars she had endured in her time alone, but she kept pushing beyond the pinnacle of her own strength. By the age of 40, Nariya had become the buff and incredible strong Kediyan you see now. One day, she participated in a gladiatorial tournament in the Kingdom of Thesudan, where she honed her abilities with polearms and earned a name for herself. She remained there for many months feeding her aggression until she met a human woman of the village who was a former prostitute and lost heir to the throne named Rayna. She paid Nairya a mass amount to escort her to a safe location far from the eyes of the wicked Emperor. Along her travels, Nariya met what would be her most loyal companion; a hairless Lycotan named Bothar, a wandering former bandit trying to redeem his honour and owing Nariya a life debt after she saved him from near death. Her adventures would also lead her to finding the long lost Vuldoric in which the current Jarl of the Kediyans would bless her the honour of being one, which she rejected at first. However, after seeing the good in Rayna and being touched by her and Bothar's strong code of honour along with the respect of other Kediyans and humans, Nariya would come to accept her destiny. She would free the people of Thesudan from the tyrannical Emperor Galen, banishing him from the city and letting Rayna rule the kingdom in fairness and justice with one of Galen's sons at her side. With her quest ending, Nariya would go on many more adventures with Bothar at her side as they fought against many more warlords, tyrants and eventually monsters once worshipped as gods or creatures of legends. In time, Nariya's exploits would become known to the world as the New Vuldoric would finally bring an end to the Fallen Age and bring forth a new prosperous age for Humans, Kediyans, Lycotans and many other races across this world. She would be a Conqueror and a Champion, her biggest and greatest challenge would be to conquer her self and overcome the sadness and deed dark despair in her heart, to fill the void that she hand lost and to show honour where others bring dishonour.
Perhaps one of the greatest of Vuldorics in recent history, Nariya may be your average barbarian turned hero, but in truth Nariya has always had a much more complex and deeper character than being a muscle bound warrior with some anger issues and may be arrogant at times. Nariya is fiercely loyal to her friends and has a great amount of respect and honour for both her friends and enemies. While at first she was originally amoral in the affairs of the world, Nariya soon becomes more prone to helping what is right for her people and her friends. Nariya is a survivalist with a keen intelligence and versatility on being resourceful. She can be prone to anger at times and is often very brash, but that is to do with her tough and brutal upbringing by her former master and years of surviving alone. Her whole life has not been pretty and it has caused her to sometimes close off her feelings, sometimes remaining stern while occasionally being snarky and cocky, but there have been times where she lets out her tears of sadness, tears of regret and tears of something she know she can never have. A child. Despite her large bulking size, Nariya is very gentle towards children of all species, as her desire to have children has been sadly taken from her by her master's cruelty (lets just say he brutally took something from Nariya that leaves her unable to bare a child since she refused her master's advances). She has had one or two chances of adopting a child but she knows that she would be a liability to the child due to her role as the Vuldoric as well as other ethics.
She also hopes to one day leave the legacy as the Vuldoric behind one day, but she knows that her duties are important. She isn't ungrateful of her title as such but it does take quite a toll on her, fearing the day that it will one day kill her, but if she dies as the Vuldoric, she'll die knowing she has made many people feel safe and has made a name for herself in the stories of old. She does not desire glory, conquest, riches or power, she wants to live in the moment but is happy that her legacy will live on, and that one day her story of triumph against the impossible will be told. Perhaps one day, a new Vuldoric will take her place when the Fallen Age ends and when a time of great strife comes again, but that time will come eventually. For now, Nariya must conquer her own troubles and help those in need as the Vuldoric.
The type of axe she wields is a stylised but very versatile PoleAxe as it fits her fighting style with pole arms. She is proficient in other melee combat, including swords and hand-to-hand combat such as wrestling, but pole arms are her specialty. She found the original Vuldoric axe that once belonged to the previous Vuldoric named Ragutan of the West, though it was temporarily stolen by a rival clan and attempted to smelt it leaving it partially damaged. Thanks to the works of the ancient elusive Blacksmiths who know the Vuldoric's closely guarded secrets, they know how to properly smelt it and change it without destroying the original metal while getting rid of any impurities. The result was this massive poleaxe with a hammer at the pommel. A versatile weapon for a versatile warrior like Nariya.
As for her physical features, Nariya is meant to resemble an Iberian lynx with the ruff cheeks and the tuffs on the tips of her ears. She is quite tall for a Kediayan, standing at nearly 7ft and towers over most humans. Her muscular physique is a trait most Keidyans have at birth, but hers is special in that she had trained many years to grow muscles that large and that bulky, though she still retains some feminine physical traits so she is never intended to look like a male. It is said that Nariya can lift objects 3 times her normal weight though many opponents have proven to be equally as strong as her or even stronger, but regardless her strength is not one to be challenged.
