How old are you?
I don't speak English very well. Do you speak <insert language here>?
The only language that I speak comfortably enough to communicate in is English. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.
How long have you been drawing?
As long as I can remember. But I didn’t start getting serious about art until I was around age 15 or so…
Are you single?
Why would you even ask that to a random person? I don’t even…
I’m happily married if you must know and definitely not looking elsewhere for romance.
Who are your favorite artists?
Many. A few off the top of my head are Terryl Whitlatch, J Scott Campbell, Allison Theus, David Aja, the late Al Rio, David Finch…
Are there any artists that you don’t like?
Rob. F---ing. Liefeld!
Normally I can find something to appreciate about every artist, amateur or professional… but not him. I really have no clue how he made it in the comic industry and continued to get work.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Mostly the world around me. I find so much beauty in the natural world. Sometimes I find inspiration in the music that I listen to.
I rarely find inspiration in the movies and TV shows that I watch as it is rare to find one that leaves a big enough impact on me artistically to inspire what I do. There are exceptions to this, however. Shows like Firefly have had a huge impact on what I do.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Mostly musical scores. Especially when I’m working on art.
Sometimes I will listen to classic rock or alternative.
What is your favorite animal?
Well, it’s no surprise that I am a bird person. I love all birdies, but quaker parrots are my favorite.
I also like cephalopods, the mantis shrimp, fennec foxes, cats, dinosaurs and many others.
Who is your favorite superhero?
What do you do besides draw?
Cooking. I don’t like to toot my own horn, but I’ll admit that I am one hell of a cook. If I couldn’t draw, I’d probably be a professional chef.
Other than that, I play video games and board fames, write science fiction and enjoy all sorts of geek stuff.
Will you be my friend?
Err… hehe. Asking that kind of makes me a little uncomfortable since I don’t know how to answer that.
I feel that the word ‘friend’ is thrown around pretty loosely around the internet, and that friendships just form naturally… not by asking someone. Since I am a private person, gaining 'true' friendship with someone VIA the internet is difficult for me. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind having online friends… I have a few long time watchers and clients who I consider to be friends. Hell, I even met my husband online.
Why don’t you respond to my comments? D: D: D:
I am a very easy person to talk to, and I will gladly have a conversation with you if I feel as if I have something to say about the subject. However, one thing that you have to realize about me is that I will not idly ‘chit chat’ if I don’t feel like I have anything relevant to add.
I will never ‘blow someone off’ unless they are behaving like jerks/entitled children. You guys got me to where I am today, and I am very thankful for that. I will always read what you say to me and will always appreciate your comments. I might just not have anything meaningful to say in response, but I will make time to respond if I feel like I do.
