I'll try to make a more complete tutorial, but there is not a real big secret, it's just a layer on a picture, then using a black brush :)

Yes, I use a Wacom Cintiq for this :) The first onew were done with a little old wacom but after trying a cintiq, I could not go back to the old one !

actually, I use the regular brush tool all the time. No effects after in fact, just as a paper inking in fact..

Cool, I tend to use the pen tool to go over my lines which tends to make a piece look kinda stiff but your way makes them like more organic next to the subject matter.

Well, I think it depends on the type of picture and model you use. SIC are basically really "organic", it's I guess a little harder on "geometric" models... Good luck :)
