The reason this mouse has been hanging around -- despite the fact that we own three large cats -- basically boils down to better tasting grub than he can find elsewhere.

Mind you, I'm like four feet away, and that doesn't seem to deter him.

we also constantly save mice around here! and what ever happens, what ever else we do, we need to drop it and act NOW :D but these little creatures are really resiliant - they are so flexible....

Last night, we ended up on a chase through the living room. The cats had cornered the mouse, who had scrambled up some drapes and was perched on top of one of the windows. When it came down, it tried to hide in the cat's toys, and they nearly got him.

Thankfully, we managed to intervene and catch it ourselves. We've let it out in the back yard, but we don't know if it'll be back.

This wasn't the first time we've caught and released it.

OMG I can't even imagine all the panic but I am glad the cats didn't grab the little guy. I would had done the same after catching a heart attack I am scared of wild mice. You and your sister have a big heart.
