I'm trying to get this running on my laptop. So fari've made sure I had the droid font installed, and extracted .conky2 to my home and run the .sh script to start it. It works apart from the dynamic ring part (I do have cairo installed). Is there some other precursor I need to get this to work?

Cheers,
Ben.

Did it again, still no animated rings. I also had a go at the other legacy conky and I have a similar problem, it seems to be the .lua files or that part of the operation, I have cairo version 1.10.0-2 installed. And it's directory and settings are untouched by me. I've just extracted the folders to my home directory and pointed the conkyrc files to the .lua files.

Yesterday afternoon I had testing this conky and all is fine. I think the problem is the size of your monitor, maybe you can change the next parameters in the gtkrc file to see if the rings are visible:

alignment bottom_middle
gap_x -12
gap_y -150

For example you can test it changing the paramenter to "x" and "y" position of the Conky:

alignment middle_middle
gap_x 0
gap_y 0

Please tell me if this works.

Best regards.

Hi malbzamora : "Rings variations" become a real widget, more easy to use and quite unusual I think : look here for an example palette : [link]
