I thought I'd try some concept art so I drew this future soldier battle armor type thing. It started with a pencil sketch and I colored it in photoshop.

Very interesting design. Maybe he has a cybernetic hookup to his brain and doesn't need physical controls for the arms? Also I don't know if he needs a helmet. It almost looks like an armored peice would slide over his head as is. It would give him a hunchbacked look, but, it would be menacing.

Good Design just has the same basic issue of all depections of that type you would have to break the Clavical and extent that modda so much it is just disfiguring and none human.

But ta does look cool man he is like a walkin tank, and he has the same core as IRON MAN. Which is ALWAYS somethin I enjoy seein so fuck yeah Bro

I almost wonder how it would move with how bulky it is. The idea itself is very different from a lot of what I've seen before. What kind of reference images did you use, if any?

It doesn't look like Halo.
It doesn't look like Starcraft.
It doesn't look like Warhammer 40K.
It doesn't look like anything else other then a general sci-fi lore based armored unit.

It's nice, it's original and it works, please people stop comparing to shitty metaphors which some of you know nothing about.

Actually, its kinda look like the concept from the canceled Halo MMO project.
The similiarity is, the bulky armor design, arm blade(possibly), the color scheme, and the blue thingy on the chest.

Kind of reminds me of the Starcraft 2 trailer when they're gearing up the soldier, and putting the suit on him. Wicked design though. Is he capable of running or jumping at least?

I don't know. I mean, it's all coool, but in body proportions it looks like if he was encaged inside the breastplate, and the arms were completely mechanic. But in another way in drawing we can make whatever we want within forms...

Could have a inner-arm lining of sorts. Have his organic arm running down the inside of the mechanical arm. Legs could only go half way maybe? If ya look at the black, inner section of the right side you can speculate thats where his hand could be controlling the arm. Plus, when looking at the shoulders, you could again speculate that thats just extra armor over the joint. >.> I like mechs... <.<

Yeah, it maybe. Like starcraft 2's marines suit, gauntless are extensions of the arms and the joint on the elbow is in fact the arm base. It sounds cool!
