"In the name of a cure, I will heal you!"

I'm an absolute sucker for magical girls. While Black Cat D.Va didn't really resonated with me, Mercy wearing pigtails and pink? It's like I'm back in my Sailor Moon days, which is what I went for with this pose as per request of the person who ported it.
The thing that solidified my purchase was the fact it's a charity-based purchase that goes to BCRF.
Unlike other charity foundations such as the Susan B. Komen Foundation, which has gone under controversy for suing any other charity effort trying to use the pink charity ribbon symbol or pink for breast cancer and donates allegations of down to 3% only for their cause, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation
which is the charity Blizzard is supporting is a foundation focused on research against breast cancer, which affects 1 in 8 women in the United States of America. BCRF has an A+ rating on Charity Watch as well as 4/4 star ratings on Charity Navigator, indicating that 88-91% of their proceeds go towards research for breast cancer, while the additional percentage goes to awareness programs. BCRF is considered the highest rated breast cancer charity in the USA.
According to the official blog post, Blizzard has stated that 100% of proceeds they receive from people who purchase the Pink Mercy skin, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $250,000, will be donated directly to BCRF. Additionally, the T-shirt purchases listed in the blog post have been stated they also have their proceeds donated to BCRF.
If you don't want to purchase the skin but you'd like to support the charity and their cause, you can go to their site here to make a direct donation: bcrf.org
