After the Rain by =extvia is a gorgeous digital piece that shows great depth and wonderful technique. The stylized brush strokes and use of color really caught my eye. Great work! ( Featured by savagebinn )

This is amazing! Its incredible how some pieces of art can make someone feel so good. I loved the details on the background and the characters are great as well! Congratulations on this work. Is there going to be a game of this, or animation? Seriously!

Thank you! Sorry to tell you that this series is now dormant. I'm putting another project as higher priority. But after I finished that one, I will probably return to see what I can do with this one. :)

One day I shall move into your brain and live there with you, blissfully. :)
I hope to some time see a screen capture video of you drawing and talking (in your native tongue, or whatever you prefer) about your illustrations and what your deepest passions are.

Well I care about you personally, and I know I am not on deviantArt much, but I have always adored your art and fell in love with some of your characters. Maybe that means I love your soul. ^_^

Messy work flow or not, a screen cast might be fun. Live is the most fun, with a chat box, but in the past I used to use Screenr.com to get out some basic videos. It's really easy to use and free.

I forget the name of the screen recording live site...I'll remember at like 1am. :P

I have other concern on this one...I'm trying to live my life out of 100% free and open source software. Live streaming software does not support GNU/Linux,they are also proprietary software. I will avoid using them if possible. :b

I love and respect your open source life! <3
Sometimes going a little proprietary can be okay if it's a good-hearted company. Just now and then. Up to you. :)

I pray you and your loved ones have a very happy Thanksgiving. Today in the United States, all the families I know are gathering to pray and meditate and celebrate all the good things we receive and the good things we can do for others.

I'm very thankful to see you online, and to get to comment with you, and I hope to some day meet you. <3 *hugs*

Thank you. I do realize that it is nearly impossible to cleanly stay away from all the proprietary software that dominating our society. I'm not that capable like RMS. I can't give up my relationship by refusing popular IM protocols, neither can I live without an android smart phone (which is not 100% free). When my job is calling for using proprietary software with no free software alternative available, I will still do such necessary evil. But such case is extremely rare for me (probably once for a minute in weeks). I must admit that using Trisquel (which is 100% free software) was very difficult at the beginning because the solutions are very limited, especially when it comes to GPU firmwares and drivers. But now I can do whatever I want just like I was using Windows. I think it is just a matter of adjusting myself to a new environment. Of course switching to Trisquel forced me to learn more technical stuff, but I think I benefit from such a experience nevertheless. As Linux has recently become more and more capable at a stunning speed, most of my suffering would go away eventually.

Happy Thanks Giving to you, too! Hope you enjoy your holiday! :)

This reminds me a little of the *beautifully* rendered background in "Tekkonkinkreet", and yet at the same time it has a character all its own. There's nothing but nice things to say about this painting. I love it!

So you happen to know Tekkonkinkreet the Animated Movie too. The artwork from that movie inspired me a lot on drawing retro city scapes.

Yes, it's a movie so good it's almost magic. The production design is simply amazing; it's almost hard to imagine that much talent coming together for one movie.

This is quite a lovely looking town, I must say.
It would be fun to be able to just run around and explore places there, I think; seems like there would be a lot of variance in terrain types compared to most towns.
