Sometimes Scenery Isnt Enough by TysonLaFollette Sometimes Scenery Isnt Enough by TysonLaFollette
Flick, the spacedog.

He's made a bright future for his people, but that brightness can't find a place in his heart. His past is too painful... and sometimes scenery isn't enough.

Or maybe he's making that face because that blue jet pack is burning his tail.

I really like how you did the background. How did you manage that texture?

I use Artrage, and it has a canvas texture that shows through somewhat. On top of that I use the oil brush tool, which leaves lines, imitating the thickness of the paint. Taken together, I feel it does a good job of making it look like an actual physical painting. The ones I've had printed at the local gallery look fantastic. :)

Psh! Etherwave propulsion doesn't produce heat. 8P

I tried something like that on my program but it's a bit flaky
It gives it a nice texture, looks very real.

Then does it absorb heat?

I have no idea if it absorbs heat. It's sci-fi nonsense. The setting Flick is a character in is meant to be a little retro futuristic, and I just wanted to use the word ether.

Oh sci-fi. You don't need to make sense-- but people will rip  you apart none the less.
