Alien Fruit

The first thing when you think still life is probably the 'bowl of fruit' picture. I doubt if it includes any of the fruit shown here....


Oddly enough the source of inspiration for this was Stargate. Every now and then the team have a diplomatic chat with the locals on another planted and some times there's a fruit bowl on the table for visual interest. It always makes me snigger. It's always a case of seeing what was avialabe at the Asian grocery that morning. Heck half the stuff has been grown in my yard at one point or another. To some one not used ot South East Asian produce they do look alien but if you've grown up in the region it's just plain amusing.

Anyway I decided I'd make my own alien fruit bowl and make sure that the fruit wasn't Terrestial. I've also included four real fruits in there just to point out that nature can come up with some pretty fantastical things on it's own. Lets see if you can pick them out.
