It's a new year yet nothing is actually new, so check out this that I've done from the Inktober-Day 12 stuff. Where I live this day is kinda a holiday for children and teenages, this is a commercial date for receiving gifts such as toys if you're kid. It's always nostalgic.

For this year, I've been dwelling in my old stories once again, this time re-imagining the pivotal "Spirit Fight" tournament, sticking how I could to match the official prompt list. On the championship, teams of three members fight each other through a group phase and then through three rows of classifying into the great final. This fighting championship involved techno-shamans from around the world. Given the disturbance, it was not strange to find techno-shamans from other dimensions, hailing from dystopias, utopias, with spirits, summonable allies and downloadable A.I.s more strange or familiar than the competitors themselves. Each had a question to settle in the fights, it's understood that merit would evaluate those who advance ahead. Couldn't be more wrong, as a mysterious competitor rigged the championship to begin with. They just find it out in season 5's finale (I guess...)

These are the ultimate protagonist and antagonist renditions of my old stories from 2004. I'm fond on how it turned out to be, and I believe it'd make a 10 y.o. kid kinda proud. It's got everything, water vs fire, Aplo is minoan-atlantean-inspired (despite the katana), while Lapolo mixes two of world's greatest empires of history in his veins - Egypt and China. Their battle gotta decide the fate of the world, or else...

The moment the tournament began, Aplo knew it'd be a matter of time he'd face the Lord of Chaos known as Lapolo once again, his most dangerous enemy, one constantly threatening his future and the responsible for the greatest catastrophes in the past. Truth is, Lapolo was kind of fancy, he remained undiscovered in the tournament due his entire team covering in masks and wearing business suits. A moment or other he took Amun's mask off to breathe. The unmistakably penchant for evil, the rational-esque discourse and some unmeasured bitter arrogance and distaste for Aplo's jokes didn't lie who the black-masked man was. This is but the result, an unofficial fight out of the schedule. Aplo sacrificies his cherished phalanx just to find the obvious beneath the mask.
