Typhonian-Apkallu's avatar

Apkallu are the 7 Sages of Ancient Eridu. They were counsellors to kings or kings themselves, and lived before the flood. Accounts list them as not being human. In the setting of my original stories, that was a really important detail. As we face the anthropomorphization of feelings, ethos and experiences, so too the references passed from generation after to values an element over other, and cover in oblivion an important truth - that not only we are all animals, but we still owe it to someone else all that's been around - like us to admit it or not - we live in the same world as their, and we are but puppets of what they started. Some of them live still...

APKALLU's MASTER - ENKI, EA - Lord of the Earth
This is a listing of the ancient Apkallu from the same setting as the Apkallu Mythos, several millennia before the current events of our 21st Century. Enki single-handedly picked each of the seven to form a group based on his intents given space and time, amidst requirements which were met for his needs in the century of 23 b.I (~ 4400 yrs before now). That bringing out blueprints for civilizations which followed was mostly a mere consequence.
The Apkallu were counsellors of kings in the city of Eridu gathered by an Anunnaki noble during the Topakhon Wars. Blueprints of their civilizaion are going still in our own. Conspiracies started in their time are still not solved...

    The Anunnaki
are (actually, were) a highly developed species which developed a fitting culture for themselves in the system of the Nibiru Planet and had vast colonies across the galaxy by the extent of time from the Topakhon wars (29-17th centuries b.I). Humanoid, anthropoid, they lack some more primate facial features and have larger fingers. Their somewhat transparent colors are not ordinarily of the same pattern in the species, it covers all chromatic variations, and at some point may be altered by genetical modification. Culturally, it's been more an individual taste for their looking and differentiation, but with time few f it could be related to differ any possible social classes. There exist some sexual dimorphism as well, even though it's debatable of now if they ever needed any couple to reproduce - they might do genetic selection for creating new individuals and most would be born in vitro. They were known to be highly intelligent, and the advancement of their civilization has been a proof of that - regrettably, the most workforce in their intent was resorted to gathering and enforcing war in other species, and they were required to give away into a large amount of slave labor to carry out their military intent across the 12 milennia spanning Topakhon Wars. Amidst all that, Enki was the prince, a noble figure with early acess toa  database concerning many millennia, and with almost unending resources. Actually, he was but one of them princes. His brother Enlil seemed to drag more favor from their father, Anu. Their mere sighting brought reverence from the humans in every intent. It was something material through both psychic, genetic, and even moreso cultural traits - they prostrated to those which "blended with light" and have built the Civilization out of scratch, and the humans (umannu) were always reminded of that. High class humans were clients of them and worked with memetics to their gestures, replying some of their culture too. But the difference just kept going farther and farther after each generation. Enlil searched war as an answer to gather more requesting slave workforce and supply his father's experiments. Enki, on the other hand, left to organize the populace as his sciences often required dealing with the biological and chemical material of diverging landscapes. It was an endless effort, and even him, despite a god to the humans, had tiresome routines (even deadlines!). That gave him some really refined social interaction with the mortals. But no actual compassion, some would say. It was an entirely different ethos. But it didn't mean he could have insights. Big things had small beginnings. He meant some kind of enhacement for them, not to put them in equal roof - that was just a tempting illusion - no individual was equal, but it was undeniable there was a different treatment for species - speciesism, if you will. He requested nothing but to develop more ways than one to put them 'human mortals' into "use", seek in conciliatory terms which eased the tensions his predecessors ignored. Invoke their creativity and settle self-sustainable ways could enhace his own workforce for the Anunnaki. Of course many individual wills would be superseded here, but it was, nonetheless, both desirable and capable in the long term. He had few centuries of existance, and was alive to tell.

The period known by some Ohrmuzdian and Chronpuchian scholars as The Topakhon Wars lasted from the 29th Century b.c up to the eventual destruction of Topakhon Mobile, in 1658 b.c (1358 a.X), making some 1200 years of intergalactic war. Before that came to pass, however, many great civilizations have perished, and some of them, were reportedly working on the measures that could stop Topakhon Mobile - including the Anunnaki Association, under King Anu. Anu, king of the Anunnaki, who were colonizing some areas near Sumer since the 23th Century b.c (the existence of Earth and some of its civilizations was known to Nibiru's inhabitants even earlier, at least since the 31st Century b.c), came to know more.

A 23th Century human ruler from Uruk, named Gilgamesh, has left his kingdom in search for knowledge, and Anu became a sponsor of his quest after he defeated the seemingly invincible creature Humbaba. As aforementioned, the Anunnaki had colonies, and that only worked through clienthood. Humans weren't treated as such - they were rather measured by matters of contingency and standing out in meritocratic statuses which befit those clients - who were also measured by rates controlled by Anunnaki intelligence. Gilgamesh himself was of distinct origin - he was regarded as a demigod, his genetic material had been developed more accordingly to the populace of those which "suffered no illness". No illness but inescapable fatigue and death. That was what stood between a mortal and an immortal, not just days passed by.
After a series of tragedies involving the death of his long time friend Enkidu, Gilgamesh was dragged into disgrace by a vengeful elemental god whom Anu knew well after years in the council of the Frashokeretian Alliance's leadership - but with another name and another face. Humbaba was an avatar of this god, whose another avatar was an influent Chronpuchian politician involved with the Chronpuchian Empire's role in the war. After Anu started sponsoring Gilgamesh, he brought him pieces of Humbaba for investigation. With a product of the hidden element known as Serapel (a.k.a Yaxchilán by the Mayan), Anu managed to isolate some of Humbaba's powers preserved in his remains, and realized Humbaba had godly properties that could've been taken by Anu himself if he managed to handle it properly. Eventually, Anu absorbed into his own organism the source of Humbaba's powers, and his sight extremely expanded, he was able to see the vastness of the galaxy and organize his mind ways he could never before, not to mention he could shift gravity towards him. He didn't realize at first, but he had just got hold of a glimpse of the power of the elemental god of space. Elemental Gods played proeminent roles in the war and far behind it, aeons ago shaping the civilizations which would culminate for example, in the social corpus of Nibiru. Their current fight concerned protecting their legacy from the Topakhon Mobile, a planet-killer black-hole based superweapon and the seat of power of the Ors Ohorela, sponsored and ruled by the god of darkness, Tupaq.
Anu himself was but a mere client of the gods. With his new powers, he could only see that more clearly. Perhaps for that Enki's approach to humans would be understood as a mere repetition of the process of which the Anunnaki came to make a living in Nibiru. It could as much bring the humans closer to them, but never on par, as much as to them to the elemental gods. In the following years, after Gilgamesh's death, Anu would be threatened by fellow Frashokeretian leaders, and in days preceding the destruction of Nibiru, the homeplanet of the Anunnaki, threatened by the Topakhon Mobile - which route wasn't originally going to put it near Nibiru's solar system, but which alteration was explained by the political and military intelligence reason that Nibiru was developing an anti-gravitational device intended to deteriorate the isolation and control of Topakhon's Black Hole, thus could destroy Topakhon and end the ORS OHORELA. Anu was less concerned about how this intelligence could've leaked and more about how to publish his knowledge on the elemental gods and their apparent connivance with Topakhon's rampant destruction. Some would argue his last days and the totality of his new space sighting powers became more clouded with an overriding paranoia. But he was in a loner position - he shared no secret, even with his children - albeit he managed to keep a record of his own - ME, Gifts of Civilization - even if they came with a high price to pay.

Nibiru's destruction couldn't be avoided - but there were still Anunnaki in some colonies, and if Anu could give them information about his discoveries, they could be the harbingers of a new age, that when the mortals and demigods, after identifying the race of nine elemental usurper tyrannical gods, could stand up and fight them, to release all creation from their oppressive paradigms - that reproduce in micro and macro scales, from the death caused by hunger and thirst, the lack of self-sufficiency which forces one into killing another, to the wars caused by the greed of some few wealthy industrialists, who force entire populations to kill each other while they're not working as slaves to this wealthy class. Like it was later pointed out, "people are like cattle to the gods - their need to feed sets them to follow the conditions of the gods (or nature), and of those of their own who usurp these goods whenever they're within reach". As Anu believed to have found out, the elemental gods were actual forces of nature, unlike most religious interpretations (both polytheistic and monotheistic), and some of their own were included on one or another cosmology belief system, albeit often not on their actual role (Ohrmuz, the god of light, for example, was the same who some in the Levant regarded as Baal Hadad, the god of thunder). But they were also usurpers who took those positions (who made these positions out of other's perception, or cognition), and despite possibly millions of years old, they weren't born with this power (since they needed others to affirm that). He saw that building up to some accumulative analysis - he was just exceeding the lot which was meant for him - that of a king, albeit one left without answers to his questions concerning the universe. One to rule his equals, serve superiors to him.

Anu himself has been, for his decreed-by-birth position of political prestige, inevitably corrupt and a despot himself.
Part of the lineage of Anunnaki rulers, who had an exclusive access to a tree of immortality for millennia (and that included among its past members his own father, Anshar, an avatar of Ohrmuz the god of light, what made himself a demigod), his rule lasted centuries into the Topakhon Wars, and that also required of him some war efforts, like the recruitment of his own kind for war purposes - putting his son Enlil as chief of the Anunnaki army, his son Enki as the chief scientist of the Anunnaki Association, after spending years learning in other academies throughout the galaxy - testing mass destruction weapons on planets like Eden (which populace was partially saved by Enki's efforts, who unlike his father and brother, showed more than pity, mercy or compassion upon its residents - he showed practical and effective help after ethically considering their interests in living). With borrowed spacecrafts, Enki, as Ea, convinced some of its population (and also threatned them in some extent, regarded today as if the populace were just spooked out) to ship aboard and follow to Earth, where they've installed: some ships arriving in Canaan and others far northeast, near Russia. The Caucasian and Caspian range. Their leading survivor came to be known as Utnapishtim, and despite he failed to convince the descendants of Adam into leaving Eden because of its imminent destruction, he managed to gather different populations, overseen by Djinn such as Utu and Triglav. Elohim, a corrupt Djinn who thrived by keeping Adam's people as his personal worshippers ignorant of their surroundings, also survived and made it to Canaan, that was already inhabited by humans way before Eden's destruction, making it his new home. Triglav and its followers opted to arrive in the northeast, near nowadays western borders of Russia, while Utu and its followers followed Ea, who was setting in Eridu, on Sumer, Mesopotamia. Utnapishtim himself has relocated, exiled from most save his family, into the eastern town of Dilmun, where he found and guarded a tree of immortality. Amongst this time laid the secret origins of a Djinn inhabiting today's Dazbog and the confusing nature of Michael, who would be fastened into human skin millennia later.

Eden's destruction was of little consequence to Enlil and Anu, the Anunnaki's "exalted ones" (Enlil, and not Enki, was chosen to succeed Anu after his passing). Anu decreed his rule should end after the war ended, and it wouldn't be lifelong (despite it already spanned centuries after his father's sudden disappearance, following an Anunnaki expedition in the planet of Sothis), however Enki's role in saving a large amount of its population has also echoed in his recruitment of the APKALLU, or Seven Sages of Eridu, the city on earth which colonial management under the Anunnaki Association he was placed as overseer. Eridu's Anunnaki management however differed greatly from other colonies such as Irkalla (overseen by Ereshkigal), it didn't completely extinguished the human social hierarchies on the area nor did it exploit its indigenous peoples for "gold digging" (actually, the digging of minerals that were potentialy hidden elements), instead, he gathered with a group of seven non-Anunnaki scientists he met during past experiences to build cities in a "sustainable" pacing. They did put some use for digging, but they've superseded that role. Becoming masters of the elements, they've managed to accomplish feats which required a sheer bulk of people, with more effective and individual approach. Their regards concerned more the subtle ways of domination - from written languages and signals, trade, commerce, to the innards of physics and chemistry.

As a traveller and scientist, he went to form some college group at the time he lived in Ohrmuz and frequented the Ohrmuzdian Djinn Academy, where he learned how to convert his material body into an "astral" one at will, in a process which could unbind his materiality and transcend it as participating in an invisible network, hacking the encrypted dominance of the visual and nervous receptors so thoroughly induced across aeons of evolution. While that put him on par with other Djinn as EA, the differential was that the Djinn were rather crafted, and received pre-disposed information, often inconclusive or incomplete, which made them relying in a systematic hierarchical caste to stand in their own singularity. They were aspects of their creator, while Ea and those who followed his path on this angelic counterfeit, Trismegistus and Nabu had their own creativity and double lives in their natural born bodies. Aided by natural Djinn such as Shamash and Isimud (both fractions of the former, original Djinn unity Utu before splitting as a trinity in the Sephirotic Prism [a tool for an all-gain schizo-genetical birth the Djinn used to maintain quantity with quality after enough information has been stored and many personalities developed to face slightiest thought processes - confusion wasn't allowed to the Djinn, paradoxes were avoided at all costs]), they've managed to keep out of track from other Djinn, instead assaulting them, lending them into oblivion and getting their informations and personal databases, erasing futile memories. They were invisible to their common roof - the authoritarian yet natural God of Light. Their departing of the Academy made them be seen as a nuisance at first, yet it was a first taste of angering a god. Often they were backed by others to be given free passage on bending so-called laws of nature or physics. As the Djinn naturally (intentionally) had a previsible vigilance role, having a blind eye on those whih bound it's laws (the "counterfeit Djinn") was saw as a natural enemy and reason to propose their enhacement and constant evolution as in the process of turning the data which made them up more complex. Path which was followed "backwards" by those Djinn which tainted them with other elements (such as the Ifrit), where they gathered too much gentical information, but burnt some layers of other information to maintain their singularity over complexity.

Similar knowledge which made Enki stand out was as well during the time he frequented the Delphic Order at Helladeas, where he learned more about the hidden elements and more of "how to" in the arts concerning the craft of powerful weapons based on it, participating in bigger roles to those he was assigned to. Helladeas inherited from it's former, pre-flood self Pelasgea, an arcane science concerning crystals. Elements in energy, controlled as if by wands, the craft of the Telchine race was almost forgotten as it's creators, yet their legendary status was undeniably that which crafted the flood, the catastrophe before it, and were all over the remnants of what followed. At a time the Triton species' Orichalcum conch became an expensive, yet replicable differential, the battle against the Daeva shadow daemons invading the farther posts of Acheron (a city-state whose reliability was in the hands of the absent Dis Pater - a corrupt figure which acted blindly when the Akh-Desher and Fire Vovin followers of Manglapronn broke loose against former masters of the Frashokeretian Alliance) required more reliability on different caste of elements - further enhacing trainning programs to specific breeds of the Vovin dragons. They had chards of every hidden element imbued within them, but could manifest and potentialize mostly only one, and it regarded functions to answer to other trained Vovin who developed a colony or swarm mentality, to be put in work. It required both uncharted territory, as assisting personnel. That put them in negotiable lines as a responsible squad which answered to specific gods, "Olympians" (strictly speaking, they were mostly anything standing between Gilgamesh's prowess and EA's Djinn powers, their "god" status concerned more political roles and representativity to distinct city-states which were constantly menaced of emmerging in civil war - they've sought harmony as it meant preventing floods and other catastrophes so warning to the Helladean Civilization) themselves. Although their leader, Dyaus Pater, replied to the Frashokeretian Alliance, the same couldn't be said of all of them. Apollo was a favorite child to take his place, but Dyaus had made no promise of leaving any post even if the Topakhon Wars ended, and that prospect was highly challenged when his first born child Athena began systematically disabling other city-states of direct Olympian interference - a crude trick few perceived as making an advantageous point for a family core - Dyaus, Athena and Anat-Hera. Under the guide of democracy, she had few attempts at leading monarchs. She was standing beside the side of heroes which overthrew tyrants and settled intents to be pursued - need of her own knowledges. Historically, in Helladeas, the Tritons were such unchallenged heroes. Apollo failed intently in recreating their power. His tunes, his muses, affected everyone as much as the Sirens. To the Tritons, it didn't give much effect. They were hedonists for their own, and had equal roof to avoid their chant. That meant his only way to control them was as good as ever - bribing. But even on that the family core had more power.

Apollo saw through Enki's reality some familiarity. Heading the Delphic Order and thousand different sciences, he made Enki come closer to genius scientists Abaris and Asclepius (a Triton favored by Apollo), starting working in collaboration with famed Jotunn and Triton species in a lifetime opportunnity (even though Enki may have been centuries old). Asclepius recently had developed his Asklepian Staff, which confirmed the theory of the Telchine Sekhem, aforementioned weapons which were forged an age long ago, shaped the landscape of Helladeas, yet were lost in the flood, except for the enigmatic Kerikeyion Caduceus, which he'd have mistakenly exchanged as if it was no big deal to another Olympian, Hermes. That which was no distinct from Trismegistos, who still responded to Enki in good terms since their flee from the academy (knowledge was rather out than inside the college, yeah). The exchange was but with a lyre, albeit one which gave Apollo a larger power than even he knew. The theory of Sekhem creation regarded a sinister science concerning immortal organs akin to Tritons - the Kratozoa. Not at all surprisingly, Hera managed to collect some from fallen heroes on her own. They've been implemented on her Vovin squads - resulting in breeding trained monsters such as the likes of the Hydra and the Crab.
With larger intel and work on Delphic facilities, Enki approached it's southernmost structure, somewhere past the Heliades Archipelago and the raging Southern Sea, where he acquired the innards of the making of the Dirae Lance. The weapon itself was but fruit to a breach of trust between elementals - Dyaus Pater and Poseidon. It would be too late, when he realized both of them were just bodies - they were actually elementals fighting one another in some concern far greater than war economy which was all the rage in the Topakhon Wars. The lance was a secret project, that knowledge transceded Asclepius' own, for Asclepius' Asklepeion had lasting side effects Apollo would've noticed - it's constant usage developed a gene which facilitated the inclusion of Kratozoa (symbiotic life forms which gives the host transformative abillities, rendering them a Triton form to be activated - such organ is related to Cuetzpalin's Tonalcoatl and have parallels in Drakainas, wildling nymphs which evolved to that transformative ability - like the Cuetzpalin and Tritons with conch, they can change bodies as if changing, shedding skin - possessing others with the insertion of the kratozoa in the host, except that the Cuetzpalin's tonalcoatl definetely take the form of the other one, the Triton's preserve both minds, and Drakaina's transform the body as well as the mind, some would say) in one's organism - turning them each generation closer to a Triton. Since he required no weapon which could give the Tritons a monopoly in the long term (thus favoring Vovin-ruled "independent" city states such as Corinth or Poseidon's Poseidia, without mentioning any Acheronian war lord who could hire Tritons as mercenaries), he employed Enki in a last desperate call. He managed to locate a pack of Drakainas which sought to harness the stolen Kerikeyion, finding out they actually worked closely to Asclepius, Apollo's prime scientist.

Apollo wouldn't notice the "missing" Kerikeyion was but a trick played by Hermes (since both his kerikeyion which was earned by a bet with Apollo as the one which Apollo artificially made replied to his Djinn-self, Trismegistus), who bridged the Drakaina's natural calling to the Asklepeion (itself being a Caduceus which one of the snakes was split from - a secret Asclepius never mentioned afraid it could end his prestige as a genius and give him some infamy) and settled into the main continent of Helladeas at the groves of Parnassus. Employing the top scientist of the northern Hyperborean Facility, Enki devised a plan to capture the genetic materials of the Drakainas, and use one of them in a process similar to those which crafted the Dirae Lance, to harness the power of Darr and craft a new mold to which all subsequent Telchine-style Sekhem weapons would be made, enhacing once again the trust of the Delphic Order during the wartime. That one was took straight from Asclepius' concubine, Sophia, the sucessor of the slayed matriarch, Python. Her death was regarded as some "plague control" policy operated by the Order which was historically enemy of the "kind of Python" since centuries ago. Asclepius was assured a life with his actual spouse, Epione, however it was short-lived for he was still wanted criminal for necromancy allegations (which was unfounded, since he actually resurrected someone returning it's own free will - as such technique wasn't known [wasn't 'catalogued'], he was fit to the closest jurisdiction, which nonetheless regarded it a crime with death penalty) and the crafting of large-scale Sekhem would have hindered his progress on using the Asklepeion elsewhere out of the Delphic Order and it's allies. While the resulting power of the experimentation with Sophia, the Wand of Abaris, was too much a great promise (making one able to travel through darkness and chaos dimensions without being caught by the Daevas, locating hidden elements everywhere they were, anywhere in the matter and energy universe, and make one able to live through endless timespan), it was held firmly by Abaris, as he 'trademarked' it and followed a breach of trust to the contract held by the Delphic Order, resulting of threatening to expose the Order to Athena's own supportive courts, which by the rate drawn much more Olympians than Apollo and his sister (a leading colonizer in Hellas, Tredivs, by the Illium colony) did. Enki foresaw Apollo's blackmailing and devised a plan with Abaris to break free from the vigilance of the Delphic Order. Hermes was a messenger to the Olympians, but was as well the same colleague Enki met in the Djinn academy. While they were not fond of the Olympian's Dyaus, they didn't see Apollo in a different light but as a bitter soul trying to get his father's domain, when he had potential for much more. Asclepius, which was promptly betrayed by several fronts of the Olympians, followed his colleague and rival, as well as to the Anunnaki prince which became more relateable by having faced a fate which was once proven to be unescapable of. Built in Thule, a Helladean city, the E-Abzu ("house of cosmic waters") became the headquarters of the Apkallu. As a safe-port from Apollo's ire, they've transported themselves from there to Eridu. The fortress resonated with the wand, as it was an inter-dimensional complex structure that was transported into Eridu's lake, and pretty much became Eridu's main management structure. Proper meetings hapenned, and the Seven got to meet each other. They all had met Enki either in field, lab, or front-lines. They've established themselves merely as counselors to the locals, who willingly let them become some sort of reasonable authorities, based not only on their knowledge of natural processes and how to alter them, but on their will to share such knowledge for the improvement of the life conditions of all its inhabitants.  The original Apkallu were:
  • UANNA ("who finished the plans for heaven and earth") - original name Ἀσκληπιός (Asclepius), a.k.a Aesculapius (meaning "To Cut Open"), a catfish-like Triton from Aeolia, Helladeas, whom Enki met and befriended while working for the Delphic order, in Delphi. A skilled biologist and medic, also a proficient manipulator of Orichalcum and other hidden elements.
  • UANNEDUGGA ("who was endowed with comprehensive intelligence") - original name Djehuty, a.k.a Thoth (meaning "Ibis"), an Ibis-like Chronpucian whom Enki met in the Ohrmuzdian academy. Able to transform into a Baboon-like Djinn, later known as Trismegistos ("Three times Great", patron of alchemy, equaled to the hellenic Hermes). Born in Axac-Tinimit, Chronpuchian colony. Founder of Khemenu in Kemet
  • ENMEDUGGA ("who was allotted a good fate") - original name Tawûsê, a.k.a Melek Taus (meaning "Peacock Angel" or "Peacock King"), a Peacock-like Chronpuchian from Apuqohcan, one of the four nations of Topakhon (which he left following the first years of the Revolution), whom Enki met in the Ohrmuzdian academy. Able to transform into a Djinn, in this form he's called as Nabu (a sumerian god of writing).
  • ENMEGALAMMA ("who was born in a house") - original name Ἄβαρις (Abaris), a Jötunn from Hyperborea, Helladeas, whom Enki met in his years serving the Delphic order, in Delphi. Apt researcher, used to the power of teleportation through the usage of the infamous Darr hidden element. Reputedly self-sufficient, his usage of such element also made possible for him to manipulate light and darkness, and perceive nano-scale alterations.
  • ENMEBULUGGA ("who grew up on pasture land") - original name Her-ur Nemty (meaning "Falcon traveler"), a.k.a Horus, a Falcon-like Chronpuchian from Nahui-Atl, an inter-dimensional island originally situated near nowadays Bermuda Triangle, that used to be neighbor to the continent of Atlantis. Nahui-Atl was an Aztec colony on earth that eventually became populated by Chronpuchian communities as well, and was surrounded by a sea of Teyoliatl (a green substance known to heal the Cuetzpalin, and also to hurt the daevas). Enki met him while travelling to Nahui-Atl for a reconnaissance mission, before the Anunnaki colonizers arrived at Eridu. In the occasion, Her-ur Nemty proved himself a proficient and skilled manipulator of hidden elements. He's founded Nekem in Kemet
  • AN-ENLILDA ("the conjurer of the city of Eridu") - original name Isimud, a double-faced Djinn born from the division of Utu into three separate entities (the other two being Shamash and Amarutu, a.k.a Marduk), whom Enki, as the Djinn Ea, met while saving part of Eden's population from the flood caused by the test of a mass destruction weapon based in gravitational shift led by the exalted Anunnaki. He eventually became Enki's messenger and guardian of the E-Abzu.
  • UTUABZU ("who ascended to heaven") - original name Ptah (from the egyptian verb meaning to create), a human-Akh hybrid from Aneb-Hetch (meaning "White Walls"), the first Nome (administrative division) of Lower Egypt. Enki met him in a reconnaissance mission shortly before the Anunnaki colonization of Sumer. Ptah is a skilled manipulator of hidden elements, especially of the Atar, an energy produced by the Cozauhqui element.

During different periods of his life, Enki met those skilled figures, and in the 23rd Century b.I (a time when Enki was around 700-800 years old), following the impending colonization of several Sumerian and Mesopotamian cities by the Anunnaki, the Apkallu stood as an example of an alternative to the destructive and war-mongering civilizations, rather seeking to conciliate the interests of most beings involved in its surroundings, to share knowledge and give opportunities to grow rather than to force people into slavery and reap the rewards of their production. This, in addition to Enki's previous display of aid to the inhabitants of Eden (what some still refer to as "mercy", despite being something more rational than that), turned him into a popular figure, a defender of the people independent of their species or skills, and a sage overall. He was still, however, a little too much narcissistic (what some blamed on his raising as a prince, surrounded by wealth. This contributed to some peoples' vision of his as "a philanthropist"), and more used to drinking and partying than his wrathful, military brother Enlil (a reason why Anu seemingly preferred the later). The Apkallu would give counsel to the people of Eridu for the next years, and rhoughly two centuries. Some of them have already angered stronger gods, others were sponsored by those. But whilst in a place where the walls could always speak, there was no resentment between the seven, or the eight if you count the prince. Arguably, the E-ABZU was the most evaluated intelligence headquarters in the galaxy, and it was just in some obscure bog in the fringe of a human populated colony. Ironic, as if a pearl in the mud...
While Enki and his fellow seven sages were making a difference in Eridu, Anu was in his last days, keeping part of the god of space's powers for his own, while ordering the creation of the ME - Gifts of Civilization, materialized pieces of his knowledge and memory, which according to him Enki should inherit (Enlil would already inherit his position and the Dup Shimati - "Tablets of Fate", another piece of his memories concerning other areas of knowledge, from what his predecessors learned from Sothis and its inhabitants - the Dzolob & Aluxob, and also from the Ahuitzotl of Aztlán's underworld, including investigations on an ancient, long lost Yakuruna Empire). Not long after the ME were completed, Anu was killed and the planet of Nibiru destroyed by Topakhon Mobile, which course wasn't supposed to alter that fast towards the planet's solar system. Anu alone knew it wasn't a mere war policy maneuver by the ORS OHORELA or Tupaq alone, the interest in destroying the Anunnaki was shared by other elementals who feared their acquisition of "godhood". He'd express that in his last ME. The ME were brought safely to the E-Abzu in a particularly difficult time, when Enki had to face he was one of the last survivors of his now endangered kind. His brother Enlil was also gone, and there was no common social order for the Anunnaki anymore - the last of them were scattered on colonies like earth. These days he went into depression and excessive alcoholism, forgetting to take a look at the accursed ME.

As Enki's knowledge grew, he also grew addicted to the knowledges he still didn't possess, and decided to challenge the elemental gods and take their place alongside the Apkallu. The Apkallu, however, knew where that was going - they would end up persecuted by the elementals such as Anu, the Anunnaki and Gilgamesh's relatives were, and several members of the original group declined. In the end, from the original members only Isimud (An-Enlilda) and Nabu (Enmedugga) remained, one his resourceful messenger, the other just a lucky gambler. Shamash and Marduk, Isimud's brothers, would join Enki in his quest, as would Inanna, her lover Thammuz and her messenger Ninshubur, for different reasons. This time, Enki increased the number of artificial Kurgarra guardians for each of his followers, and prepared for battle. The E-Abzu wouldn't last long, either, as four of the sage men have left. It was eventually sucked up by the Chaos dimension, alongside several possessions of Enki, and some people like his lover Damgalnuna. Abaris abandoned them out of concern, as he had unfinished business in Helladeas. The city of Eridu would, from then, be overseen by human rulers and four hybrid self-proclaimed Apkallu that had nothing to do with the original ones, commiting unforgivable mistakes and staining the trust of the office. In about 100 years later, it would be conquered, alongside Uruk and most of Mesopotamia, by Sargon of Akkad, who'd campaign for the termination of the remnants of the Anunnaki colonization. Enki was forced into hiding along his fellows, and he felt betrayed (by the other Apkallu, especially his close friend Uanna/Oannes, a.k.a Asclepius) and broken (by the elemental gods), vengeance and thirst for the forbidden was his only driving force back then.
Uannedugga-Trismegistus had learnt too much more than he'd have originally bet - he proposed Enmebuluga-Her-Ur and Utuabzu-Ptah to focus on their conquered posts at the Kemet Civilization, which was in bad terms with the Frashokeretian Alliance, despite being a neutral contester in the never ending war. They followed that as they saw dim hope in the remnants of the Apkallu in succeeding. Abaris had planned to return to the Delphic Order as soon as he found out a war broke out between Helladeas and it's colonies of Atlantis. Seeking to discern which side, loyalists as Sparta and Attica, or contesters as Atlantis and Illium, could make better use of his Sekhem technology, put him spiralling down in events which led him back to serve that of which he despised - until finding support in northern Ireland, but that's a whole different chapter, as he'd have developed more Sekhem under the Delphic banner, have the Telchine employed in it this time, only to handle them to the Olympians, escape and spread the resulting weapons as if to "arm" different populaces and maintain their genetical and ethea material with an upper hand. Asclepius would feel that changes in his newfound pilgrimage, as he realized his plans concerning the seeding of trees of immortality was systematically boycotted by forces which did use some Sekhem. In one hand Abaris would distill war, on the other, Asclepius would make sure the distinct populaces didn't develop as much a civilization like the one they've come from - having them "reap" the rewards once they've harvested genes for a next, hypothetical self-sufficient generation. Asclepius went as far as try to reconcile with the Apkallu - for the creation of an eighth one, which could defeat the gods by mastering the elements which were cultured from the artificial intervention the Sekhem made. Indirectly, he benefitted a turn of the tides hanging into making Enki's plans even if a bit more feasible...

One should notice addition of story elements concern the detailed explanation of Enki's life as well as the intended rivalry with the god of Darkness, who covers the last remnant "lot" which could give the former Anunnaki Prince a fit position as a Deity of the Deep, or God of the Abyss. This character material was arguably done in collaboration with :iconguiler-717: and the full story is detailed and covered in his journals:
