Did you, now? That is very interesting to me. There are not many who would have witnessed my debut. I loved working Celebrate Downtown Okemos. The first two years were a sensation. Then someone within the township gave the director a lot of flak about me being there; So we mutually agreed to part ways on any future events. That same person (I never found out who they were) also went to the county to claim I was "banned" from all township activities, thus shutting me down at the local county park as well. The ban turned out to be a lie; but the damage was done. I then found plenty of other events, charities, and venues who were more than happy to accept my service and time, such as the amazing city of WIlliamston and their chamber of commerce. Now, in 2020, I am pretty much retired from freelance mascotting, have plenty of great memories and new friends. I have lots of other interests as well, and I have moved out of Meridian township.
