The Weird of the White Wolf by tycarey The Weird of the White Wolf by tycarey
EDIT: Tweaked up image.

Quick warmup session tonight while I'm cooking some cover work behind the scenes. Yes, I am still around and loving checking out all the great arts here ... just been a busy time so sorry for the no postings.

Here's Elric and Stormbringer, my favourite fantasy duo ... he's a feeble drug-taking albino prince-lord kinda emo guy, the sword's a soul drinking demon who's far far more evil then he'll ever be. If you enjoy tripped out 60's fantasy try checking out some of Michael Moorcock's stories. I might try scribbling Jerry Cornelius next, but ... which one?

Oh, and you should do ALL of the Corneliuses next!
All together in their killer outfits, brandishing their killer sf guns and *owning* the scene of decadent London town altogether!!

That's what i intend to do when i finish reading all four novels!
:) :horns:

You're welcome. Too often I see him depicted as extremely feminine or roided up like Conan. The roid version bothers me the most as it is directly against Moorcock's descriptions. Here he looks thin and sickly which is more like what he's described as being in the stories.

Agreed. I'd prefer feminine as I like that he plays completely against type, despite inhabiting a Conan-like world. He's alien and strange - probably should look completely androgynous - and should make you uncomfortable (I like watching people squirm when out of their comfort zones :) ).

The feminine ones always bother me because he either looks far too pretty, or like an anime character which doesn't look androgynous at all, it looks like an anime character. I agree though, the Melnibone race is definitely alienesque and should make you feel uncomfortable.

He's sickly, normally on drugs just to get by and cries a lot. He gets all of his arse-kicking power from the sword, and even that gives him no end of trouble (like killing his friends). He's the antithesis of the muscle-bound meat-head barbarian, that's for sure!

Light and shadows work together here! I wanna say about cloak too, it looks so rough and stylish at the same time.

Nice one! 'The dreamthief's daughter' was one of the first books I ever read.

Thanks - that seems like a heavy 'first book' - hope your young mind was irrevocably warped ;)
