I'm really digging your Foobar setup you've got going on. Could you give a tutorial on how to get it to look like that? Or even just upload the settings you have. That'd be awesome, thanks!

Oh, nevermind, I already working. But as far as I know, does it support tray icons? You knw, just in case you want to update an antivirus or know the batery status. Or does it have a quick menu like bblean? Thank you for answering, I really appreciate it.

How can I get my explorer windows to look like that?

Also, the to get that font in explorer it's just changing the default font, right?

i don't have an explorer window open in this screenshot but my windows are just pix_ visual style with the caption hidden via bug.n / autohotkey

Hate bothering you like this but I've been using your skin since it dropped, and the one before that as well. I see you've updated it slightly with collapsing album tracklist in the playlist view along with file format next to [playing]. How'd you do that? haha.

i exported the elplaylist from my other foobar skin then imported it into nncmpcpp mod. i then changed the colors / fonts and did a few other small things.

You know you have a good setup when you dont need to change it! Where are some good places to read up on bug.n? I understand the basics of AHK and i think i understand how they apply to bug.n, i'm not entirely sure i understand how to fully incorporate it as a full fledged window manager. I appreciate the resources and information you've provided thus far.

hmm bug.n like other window managers relies on hotkeys more than anything. bug.n comes with documentation that details all of the hotkeys and allows you to make your own quite easily. once you know how to do things like switching windows across monitors/workspaces and moving them through the stack the workflow is very nice. personally i use the mousewheel for a lot of the actions that bug.n performs.

after that the rest is just setting up options for frequently used programs winkey+i pops up the info of the currently selected window and you can use that info to set how that program interacts with bug.n.

Config_rule=StarCraft II;.*;;1;1;2;1;1;0;

for example, the rule above sets starcraft ii to open on my main monitor in the second workspace without bug.n messing with its size.

the syntax for the rules is in the documentation.

i should make a video someday demonstrating how powerful bug.n is

Nice. How you can set launch options like that very much interests me since I don't really like to move my windows around at all these days. I have just been relying on virtuawin to automatically manage workspaces for me. Re-reading the documentation and reviewing some of your settings is on my to-do list. Will keep a look out on your posts.

I wish I was as good of a ricer as you :c

Where would I start if I wanted to overwrite my programs' default themes with my own?

Also, what kind of taskbar are you using?

It honestly blows my mind how you got your desktop looking as nice as that.

the best i can do is link you to this: [link]

if you want a setup similar to mine most of my stuff is linked there.

athough, i have yet to release my sublime text theme.

as for my taskbar, i have a hotkey that toggles it on and off since i rarely use it.

Alright! Thanks!

I'm already using your pix visual style (which is a little outdated) and was just wondering on how to integrate the style into the rest of my system.

Love the rest of your work, man. Keep it up c;

Also, I am a dumbass. I though the faces next to the comment box were emoticons. Sry m8

ah i think i know what you mean. make sure to use programs that you can theme and you can start getting a consistent look together. things that cant be customized are few and far between (skype) so it is pretty easy to get almost everything to match.

some things that i have themed to match are:
foobar2000
firefox + individual websites that i use a lot
mIRC
cygwin(mintty)
potplayer
steam
sublime text
honeyview
launchy

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. Is chrome/chromium a part of that list? I think I see it in your desktop.

Also, is there any set way to figure out if a program is capable of being rethemed? I also assume it won't be as easy as just clicking through the settings pages.

If all of these questions can be answered through that link you gave me, just tell me. I haven't read through it yet.

Sorry for asking so much, and thanks for answering. You truly are a gentleman and a scholar.

i dont use chrome and it is quite a bit harder to theme it like firefox

most popular programs can be themed and a quick google search will tell you if it can or not

Great as usual. I have a few questions I'm hoping you can help me with. First one is how you got the foobar thing to work, because I for the likes of me can't.. I'm also curious how you got images into the bar.

the newest bug.n makes this a lot easier to do. there is a resourcemonitor.ahk file that has everything in it neatly laid out.

I followed what was shown in the picture for both the ResourceMonitor.ahk and the Config.ahk (adding in the Config_readinFoobar), but it still has not shown its face in the bar itself.

I am still trying to figure out as to why it is not working.

I was hoping it would, but it didn't. I appreciate it, though.

I've even tried the 2 different GUID's that were provided by foobar and it still did not show up, so I don't know what to do anymore.
